4:39 that is one of the longest softball home runs I've ever seen. B Jones can cut it!

So why does every infielder skip the ball to first base? None of them throw it on a line to the baseman, and it seems to cause problems. I know they don't have alot of time but theres no way its quicker to bounce every ball than to take 0.3 extra seconds to throw it on a line.
@sw4811 ай бұрын
It is more accurate.
@kidzbop38isstraightfire9211 ай бұрын
@@sw48 do you mind expounding? I understand the argument of "ball overthrown doesn't give 1st basemen a chance, vs an underthrown ball can be scooped and gives 1st baseman a larger catch radius". But it sounds like you're saying that the ball has less horizontal variation if it's skipped (i.e. it doesn't move down the line or up the line as much)? I am not sure why that would be the case...

@@kidzbop38isstraightfire92 I am just the media guy. The infielders who are the best softball infielders in the world say its better to bounce it and more accurate. I don't have any other answer.

@@sw48 fair enough, thanks for responding. I love your videos and just found this aspect of play to be interesting.

Sonny’s gave up 107 runs in 3 games to ressy while only scoring 77. Hard to win it all with a 30 run differential. Ressy looked great all year.
@marlondiaz7957 Жыл бұрын
Is that including the if game? If you remove that game, the spread is 66-66.
@E.A.D.27 Жыл бұрын
@@marlondiaz7957 yeah with the if of course. Ressy still scored 26 runs in that loss while Sonny’s only score 26 runs in 2 losses combined. Ressys 2 wins got 81 runs while Sonny’s 1 win but 3 games only got 77 runs. Honestly I wouldn’t think all 3 games would be decided by run rules tho.

If the late, immortal Jim Galloway, Bert Smith, Lou Russo, and H T Waller were competing today with these bats, you would never get them out. HR’s every time up…

If the guys today were hitting the balls those guys were hitting, they'd homer every time too. COR 50 700 compression on 300 foot fields.

Man these guys can hit, but defense wise they don’t look the best. But than again, who needs defense when you’re jacking up 50 runs lol

Was a double elimination tournament. These two teams met in the winner's final, championship, and if game.
