The home plate umpire is good at keeping everyone's head in the game and egos in check. I like that.

Can someone explain to me the strike zone , I play Rec level softball using a wooden board 7 pitches, wondering how it works at this top level
@ryanruggieri1826 жыл бұрын
Andrew Persaud Count starts with 1 ball and 1 strike. They’re allowed to hit one foul ball with one strike, the next foul is an out. The strike zone is that the ball has to cross the batters body under is front shoulder, over his front knee (and assuming the batter is standing even with the plate). The pitch can go no higher than 10 feet from the ground, and no lower than 3 feet from the pitchers point of release. That should cover it!

@@ryanruggieri182 obviously 1 1 count and u foul that's strike then ur 1 and 2....wtf...ur just a fountain of misinformation

@@tonycondegnimustafa435 Wow someone is pissy... He was saying you can only have 2 foul balls in an at bat. Which is the rule. You cant just stand up there and foul off pitch after pitch to get a good one. Everything else he said is also perfect. Where is this fountain you speak of?

3 feet from the release point up to 10 feet. I believe it’s also where it crosses the front shoulder to the back lnee

Can you guys work on your audio. The commentators are too close to their mics and it’s not fun hearing the commentators and the umpire at the same time. Makes the audio very loud and distorted.

Love the umpires attitude. Umpires in SC will throw you out the first time you think about showing them up. I have said more to umpires about starting arguments than I have players starting arguments this year. Its a shame.

Why is base umpire in foul territory making a call at first base this is why I do t do utrip. I do isa softball we move and I was at supers and double Aa there was no issues or no running into players. Utrip needs to get it together this why players don't play utrip only reason they do it cause of pitching height

This umpire should NOT be calling balls "deep." That is not a thing, and is incorrect terminology. Also, please stop saying stuff like "20" when we're talking about the count. The count is 2 and 0, not 20.

masterbass1541 I remember watching these major teams playing in Gainesville, Georgia, and it was impressive to watch if you have never seen guys launch a softball out of sight at night. However, it got boring pretty quickly if they didn’t hit it out they were usually out, not much base hitting and the majority of the guys playing were very very rude.
