My heart is pained to bear the loss of this great singer so young, while I live. I had the great pleasure and honour to host him for a concert in Montreal Canada (at Musie des beaux artes) in 1991 along with Pandit Jog. He left a lasting impression on me as a young musician of India! A great loss indeed! His song in Keeravani Rag is still in my ears!

Excellent voice! It’s the result of years of dedicated long hours of riyaaz since a very young age… this is a true musician, eats, drinks, thinks and lives music! He has given us this beautiful singing as gift to all his listeners all these years…. And now is training students and his son too! Pandit Bhimsen Joshi rightly said that Indian Classical Music was safe in his hands! He as a young musician has helped this wonderful style of music survive and spread amongst young crowds! His concerts are attended by both young and old, such is the magic in his voice and performance!!!
