I do not think this is true. Tabla itself were invented by a turkish -indian „amit khusro“. Sitar is also quite recent invention. And regarding theory of Rag, it is ever evolving and has lot of influence from arab and folk music. I doubt, vedas have written about music heory itself
@oopalioperajita343811 ай бұрын
@@rushikeshshinde2325 There is an entire veda devoted to music - it's called the "Sāma Veda." And Bharata Muni's Nātyashāstra (2nd C BCE) is an exhaustive manual on music, dance, theatre and aesthetic theory. Please read them and dispel your doubts.

Mesmerizing concert. There is no disputing Shahidji's preeminent status amongst classical musicians today. Pinky is made in the image of his great - the greatest guru - Pandit Kishan Maharaj of Varanasi. Maharajji was my mentor, and I have wonderful memories of a young Pinky in 1978.

Beautiful sound, amazing tonal quality, power and clarity of Sitar, and wonderful tabla accompaniment by Sukhvinder Singhji. As for the last piece, it may have been played by Ustad Raees Khan originally, but I have to say Ustad Shahid Parvez has played it here more beautifully than Raees Khan. What a wonderful performance!

You have done great works in hosting, recording and producing such a wonderful concert and this video. To hear Shahid Parvez in such high quality, to watch as he displays his mastery and to enjoy the Bhav which is produced is sublime. Thank you, for you are doing a great service to Indian classical music and sustaining the arts and culture of India. However, I say you are also doing a disservice to Raga itself. In my humble opinion, splitting up this video with advertising every few minutes completely destroys the magic of Raga and so simply cannot hope to convey the true essence and beauty of the artform. Do you not is it not disrespectful to music and the musicians to break their performance so cheaply? They give their lives in dedication to the majesty of their Instruments and In preservation of a music that goes back to antiquity. I beg of you to reconsider your strategy, the Rasa is not able to come through. In reality the few pence that you earn from advertising can be earned in other ways. But this is simply intolerable. Again I request, please remove this advertising, it’s so upsetting. Wish you peace Aum Shanti 🙏🏽🌍❤️

No they are not similar at all. They have differences which identifies both distinctly. Pa Dha Sa Re Ga cluster will be prominent in Jhinjhoti, but will not be played in Khamaj.

wow thanks for the clarification i am just learning and your comment helped me a lot and again thank you Subhash ji for your comment regards Nicki

Remember Jhinjhoti eveolved from Bhatiali (a folk tune from Bengal region). it will always have Bhatiali elements. Where as Khamaj will show the characteristic phrase G m P D N - S n D P. Listen more both raags, these will be completely clear to you.

So the term "Ustad" can be used for others who are not Muslim?
@deegidwani3 жыл бұрын
Yes of course. Ustad is a guru, teacher, accomplished musician from whom others can learn, regardless of the language you address him in. Why bring religion into it?
