My daughter has cervical dystonia. Constant involuntary neck pulls. She is 46, it is painful and she works as well. I can see Baylen has more control during this recent interview. This shows that she is doing the hard work to calm the overwhelming ticks down. She is not faking it people!!

What your daughter has is not tourette syndrome it's something totally different. The verbal outbursts that are so prevalent in her other videos would be impossible to suppress during any interview during any kind of activity during anything. As well as the overwhelming physical behavior such as sucking your fingers over and over again and the profanity over and over again constantly. That is not something a person can stop from happening no matter how hard they try. They can manage it slightly but no they can't do what she's doing right here, which is almost a complete 180°. And also trying to suppress it and stop doing it often makes it way worse..

@ I know my daughter does not have Tourette’s. I was referring to the involuntary muscle movements which are in both disorders. Those are very difficult and cannot be controlled with cervical dystonia. Alls good and God bless

Dear Baylen, You are a star because you are you. You are an amazing young woman, and your family is amazing as well. I find myself laughing and crying along with you all. So heartwarming when you rested your head on your little brother’s shoulder, and when you were in the car with your mother after shopping. I cried along with her. I find myself laughing( not at you), but at the funny moments, and then crying when you seem vulnerable. Thank you for educating me on your personal journey with Tourette Syndrome. I look forward to learning more, and simply enjoying you and your family. Thank you, and bless you all!!!

I am so proud of her for having her show she is a superstar and coming out and showing people what it's all about to have tourette's. I really am upset about some of the people that are negative with their comments it really bothers me a lot because they are the ignorant ones and don't want to know if you don't want to know then don't watch the show. This is a real issue and she is one of the first people to come out and show people what it's all about I'm very proud of you . I was so proud of you when you were working in the kitchen you did so well with everything you were trying to do

My 26 year old daughter has Tourette Syndrome. Diagnosed at age 9. Started ticking at 7. She's gone through some really bad years, especially during puberty. We opted to home school. She only has had a few vocal tics. But motor tics that caused injury. She's now on medication. The meds really really help. Her tics are 90% gone. We also could not find people , doctors, health professionals. Finally at the Toronto clinic a neuro tourette specialist was able to help. She now lives in the states and again we have no one. Our GP is great, but admits he has not understanding of Tourette and how to manage her meds. Sending many cheers your way.

I wish I could say, "funny how brain works!". I can't. At the time , I was diagnosed with manic/depressive disorder, at 7 years old. Been through hell, but also wonderful experiences I will cherish. My feeling like an outsider all my life have made me appreciate things more than most. I'm elderly now, and I'm still here! I believe you have found your calling. To not be ashamed...at all. You'll be my age someday. And you're a survivor.

I feel strongly that this young woman does not have Tourette's syndrome. I have seen her on TIKTOK before with a different BFF about 3 years ago. She stopped ticking and looked at the camera and said let's do this over. She laughed hilariously with the BFF but hit him often. I'm a speech therapist and her behaviors are not at all like those who have T.S. 4:31 She changed her tic several times during the shoot. Even now she can talk with the woman and not tic. . She spoke straight to the camera and said this has to be more serious. I don't wish Tourette's on anyone but I tho her doctor and therapist could come on TV as well with them.

After watching the first episode, her family is exacerbating her disability. They need to speak life into her and tell her she can do things. They keep telling her she can’t be independent, which becomes the voice in her mind. The mind is the most powerful thing on the entire planet. Fill it with positivity and confidence.

I totally agree. I was surprised to see her mother totally sounded/appeared rather discouraging, while her father seemed to give her more strength and promise for her future achievement. I understand the difficulties that must be faced by their family, but hope should be their main focus and inspiration for Baylen and themselves.

Y'all have to remember. This is just a snippet of their lives. It's a produced show just trying to cram what they can into the time given. Both parents seem supportive to me. THINK!!!! If this were your child would you be comfortable just releasing them into the World on their own KNOWING that she could potentially severely get burned throwing boiling water on herself, stabbing herself or bashing her head on a counter or floor.....and that's just in the kitchen. And what if a severe tic happens in public and she's alone like in the airport? If her Mom hadn't been with her she'd of been badly injured, alone and with all her conditions so unfamiliar to society NOBODY would've had a clue how to help her. Both Baylen AND her family want her to have independence. They've ALL said so. But there's a process to get her there. Listen to HER OWN WORDS 2/3 of the way through this interview.

I really can’t believe how many people are saying that Baylen is faking this & saying she’s lying?! Really?! I’d like to see how they’d handle it if they had it & were spoken about in such a disrespectful manner. Baylen I DO BELIEVE YOU! I wish I could actually contact you in person. You make me chuckle 🤭 and then at other moments I’m teary just thinking about what you must be experiencing day in day out. I’ve struggled with my depression, anxiety, ADHD etc & some of my siblings seriously don’t understand nor do they want to & that tells me I really don’t matter to them very much. So, thank goodness for your supportive parents! 🙏Dana is a really awesome lady, I’ve watched her work with you & yup, she’s really got the understanding of how it’s affecting you daily.
