It's a process that takes some time, we're already there as far as midfield offense transition. And with coffey lavelle albert etc.. I'm not worried about the team making the needed progress to become excellent also in the midfield -defense transition. Great Job Congrats coach on the Balon D'Or. And congrats to Rose on her 100 Caps, and many many more. Right now, the best Woman Coach in the World is.. guess who? The USWNT has her, and lets get ready for the next world Cup.

How when certain players can do no wrong? Horan is inconsistent but she always starts. Lavelle is past her prime so why give other players a chance. We have over 40, 000 D1 soccer players in college and you can't find a true six. Tell your scout to find the best six to eight 10s, 6s, and 8s and have a midfield camp. Stop having players modify their game to play with old Horan. Is Emma brave enough to make that jump

@wishbone1490 do you not follow along with the team at all? There is a CBA that requires all Olympics players called into camp after the Olympics. Emma specifically said herself that she is doing a futures camp with U21 players in January.

10:40 Coming back from behind against a solid team like Iceland, the uses Compact Defense very well, and also scores very good goals though not many, is a Strong feature in these USWNT players.. Clearly Emma Hayes did not accept the result when we were 0-1 in the first half, and just like in the first friendly she quickly turn the teams performance around and we scored in both games in the last 15-10 minutes. That comes from Good Players who were well coached. You don't get lucky twice against the same team when it's a solid team. Both Iceland Goalkeeper had a very good score in their hands up to (I believe) the 80t minute, then they both lost 3-1 There is a characteristic consistency on the part of the USWNT with Emma. This characteristic consistency we did not have before Emma Hayes, we all remember the losses at the World Cup and against ElTri-W in the Friendly. We're a different Team now!

We have so much midfield talent and so many young talented 10s that it’s hard to imagine Rose and Horan will be starting at the World Cup. The kids are faster, better technically and have more positional flexibility.

@glarris1 they likely will not be starting in the World Cup, thats 3 years away. For now though Emma is building the team up. That means using your veteran players alongside your new players.

I'm going hold judgement about Emma Hayes until next year. If she's unable to develop players and bring in a new batch of players who can compete with the top ten teams by 2026, she might not be the coach I thought. Any player with over 100 caps should sit out next year to allow other players to grow and develop. One of the reasons our midfield is sluggish is because we have some players who can do no wrong and still play rather than earning it

seriously? lindsey Horan is having a great season in france, one of the top goalscorers in the French league and she shouldn't play for a year? Hayes is building a team to win the world cup and it's not a good idea to leave players out who will be playing in that tournament for a year. Christ she has shown she can bring in new young players and still have the experienced players in the sqaud. That's just a mad idea. She will pick the players who are delivering week in & week out for their club team.

​@mracer8 Horan had a great season last year for lyon & has been in unbelievable form since the start of this season I think she already has 6 goals for lyon. There was a reason she was in the top 10. Girma getting left off the list was the joke, if ahe was Spanish and playing in the one team Spanish league she would have been a top 3 player. she is the best defender in women's football right now

@@ads2686 I have watched her and she is playing in a forward position and playing great on a very strong Lyon squad. That said, the French league is weak league. The 10 on Barcelona is by far the better player and there are way too may forwards who are by any measure ( including the eye test) better than her as well. That said, clearly she is great leader and a winner and those qualities count for a lot and inspire teams to do amazing things together like win a gold medal at the Olympics but it doesn’t make her the best player on the USWNT let alone Ballon D Or worthy.
