Great job Twaila, congrats for the victory over Japan!👍 Second leg is in Ohio. Same old friend and nemesis, should be no problem right!!! The Canwnt can’t wait to show they can beat us this time. In fact, they’re conceited that they would have won the W Gold cup if not for “the water ball” game with us. This will be their true test in Ohio, no rain please, they cry! I for one, can’t wait to see this match up!!! Hahaha! Go team USA!!!🌹💖⚽️🇺🇸👍🤩

why is Atlanta the home of US soccer.
@alansmithee8831
@alansmithee8831 Ай бұрын
@mosijahi. I assume on the back of the Olympic games that were there and its central location, US Soccer seem to have set up there as a base, in the way that England set up a central base called St George's Park. It seems to have worked for England who have reached finals and won junior and women's competitions and developed a style of play, I assume again based on the way Spanish sports teams did, back when they had the Olympics, which led to success.

One of the reasons is they can train year round as they put it. Atlanta has a MLS TEAM and is doing very well as far as supporting audiences. Big metro, busiest huge airport in the world, great and more moderate climate, snow here only every 5,6 years and there is money to give…🤩 Ground breaking will be in this Spring. Multimillion $$$$$ US SOCCER HQ and NTC. Around 25’ drive South of the Airport. Looking at the outline I can see propose 18 half courts and several full courts field. Stands and seatings not that I can see but probably built in under roofing with the center, parking and all… things can be changed! I’m sure Atlanta will have a new NWSL team soon!!! Atlanta for New US training center! ⚽️⚽️⚽️🇺🇸👍🤩

@@alansmithee8831 Atlanta was chosen because it has the busiest airport in the US with easy international connections, a playable year around climate, great infrastructure, a local sponsor in Coke that is willing to invest in the team, and a diverse and growing community. The biggest contributor to Spain's success is having 9 players from Barcelona who play together at the club, and the 2010 men's team had 7 players from Barcelona. That's a big advantage over teams where none or a very few of the players play together at the club level.

*That's what I was asking myself. Morgan is playing ancient history soccer. No one knows more about soccer in this country than Andres Cantor and Manuel Sol of Telemundo. They were saying during the broadcast that Alex Morgan no longer has it in her.*

*For this team to be successful in the Olympics, they need a 3-week camp; otherwise, they will have a hard time in the Olympic Games.*

If you listen to a Chelsea conference with Emma Hayes or England with Sarina Wiegman, they refuse to discuss individual players in detail or tactical decisions. US viewers and press may feel the change of style, that I presume will come, with many deflections and "wait and see" answers, as well as blunt "I am not telling you that" and "I am not here to defend my decisions".
@DavidS-ld4pf
@DavidS-ld4pf Ай бұрын
As a US fan I'm hoping Hayes doesn't bring a dose of Euro arrogance to the team. The US are 4 time World Cup and 4 time Olympic champions, and even in Australia, which was their least successful WC, they outplayed Sweden, and they were missing their best scorer Mallory Swanson, arguably their best midfielder in Macario, and their best central defender in Sauerbrunn. England have won 0 World Cup and Olympic wins, so hopefully Hayes has some perspective when she joins the team.

@@DavidS-ld4pf Emma is professional. US World Cup wins were against amateurs. The rest of the world, including Emma learned from the US. The US needs to understand football is professional outside US now too, if it is to keep winning. She is not some stuck up, upper class self entitled toff. She is a hard working British working class woman, who admires hard work and knows the US work ethic. If US trust her knowledge of football, they will not go far wrong.

@@alexjvee6836 If you look up the interview with Georgia Stanway, soon after she joined Bayern Munich, she was sort of told off for not really knowing the history of her club and how the players had to battle to be recognised as serious, because they were not full time professionals. Georgia just said that she was there to make the club's history going forward, sticking to the present, so as not to say anything bad about the quality of the game in years gone by. If the professional US players were not beating the other teams, perhaps that history is not as relevant as the current team, judging from how Georgia looked at it?

@alansmithee8831 If the US only won against amateurs then why did they only win 4/9 world cups🤔? Not every team was “amateur” back then.

I don’t understand why Twila hasn’t been awarded the position of permanent coach? In my opinion she is a far better coach than Tubby Hayes. Anyway, I’m pleased she is leaving Chelsea, as she is stifling the teams development with her conservative approach to coaching. (nasty temper also) Chelsea with hopefully Sonia Bompastor as coach, will go onto dominate Europe for a generation.

What success are you talking about? Domestic? European? Chelsea will be eliminated in the next round of the Champions league. That’s not success in my opinion! At the moment they are not prospective champions of Europe, neither will Chelsea have ever been under Hayes!. The only success Hayes has achieved is an endorsement from McDonald’s, That is why she is known as the double cheeseburger. I guess in that respect she is successful.. Yes, the Americans are welcome to her, along with the entitled Sam Kerr. @@alansmithee8831
