It's the entire front 3, not just her -- Trinity for one was a force from the second she entered the game. Soph did what she does. Mal did her thing, but not sure she would have been as effective with Morgan and Dunn on either side of her.

@@jjv124 I am a Mallory Swanson fan....however in the shebelieves cup game that you mentioned, she missed several opportunities including one handed to her on a silver platter by Sophia once she entered the game. It was Sophia drawing the penalty that won that game. The optimal front 4 is swanson, smith, shaw, rodman... Anything else can work but it won't be as effective as that combination.

Emma must have a clear idea now who can play the wingers and striker position. One thing is clear Alex Morgan is not going to make the cut moving forward. Just watch the Spain squad and you will see what Emma is trying to build. She knows you have to fight fire with fire. She has the players. Swanson, Smith, Rodman, Macario = Goals, goals, goals.

How do you not have the run up to the first goal in these highlights? That entire goal was because of Alex Morgan. A great turn in the defensive third, a driving 60 yard run at the South Korean defense and the pass out wide that led to the cross.

USA struggles to beat Sweden a middle ranking European team and think because you are beating Asian and Concaf teams who are well below the level of European teams you are back. USA cannot play the way England and Spain play because USA doesn’t develop technical players. This is a fundamental development and culture problem. Hayes cannot fix this and it will be shown up when the USA plays top European teams.

@Delboy0 I strongly disagree with Dusty’s comment but to say “Emma cannot fix this problem” imo they’ve been getting somewhat better lately and I can see more improvement with Emma in charge. If you keep up with the USWNT regularly you would know that this isn’t the same team that went to the World Cup last year because many players who went to the 2023 WWC haven’t seen a call up in months. They’ve been calling cup a lot of younger players lately and some key players returning from injuries like Swanson and Macario. But yeah as of right now they’re nowhere near Spain unfortunately.

Been watching Emma for the past 10 years at Chelsea and she just has a magical rapport with her players, they love her and want to do their best for her. The ones that don't cotton on to her system will be gone, she doesn't screw around in that department. I've already seen it in just these first two friendlies, the difference in most of the players attitudes and enthusiasm. Emma is the perfect manager for this side and is the missing X-Factor in making this side the dominant force we're all used to. Oh and Lily has nothing to worry about, Emma loves brilliant young enthusiastic players and she will make it her mission to make her one of the best players in the world. Look at what she did with Guro Reiten (a player most people had never even heard of) she helped turn her into one of the best midfielders in Europe; and that's only one of the many players she's done that with. Really pisses me off and makes me sad that Emma left Chelsea 😟 (I was kind of hoping she'd manage the men's team - LOL)

Emma had access to Chelsea money. She bought in some phenomenal players, but unfortunately she had no idea how to utilise them and flopped big time in European competition…..As for coaching the Men’s team, someone’s having a laugh! Ps Guro Reiten was already an accomplished Norwegian international player when she joined Chelsea, which owes nothing to Emma Hayes coaching ability! Please be factual with your postings in future.

Ok so Emma had no idea how to utilize her players? Explain the trophies before she finally managed to get the brass to open their wallets, as in the first 5 years she was there. As for Champions League, sure she never got the title but she got them to one final and deep runs numerous times only to get beat by teams with even bigger wallets (Barcelona, Lyon to name a few). As for Guro, sure she was an international for Norway but she was in no way an international star and only a part time starter. There's not like there's a ton of competiton in a small nordic country for spots. She was very good on the Norwegian pro teams she played for but the competetion wasn't great, It wasn't like there were numerous teams lined up to sign her, Chelsea were the only ones who made an offer. She didn't start at Chelsea for several years as there was much better talent in front of her, sorry but she really developed in to a great player in 2022, just a fluke I suppose. Being a great coach isn't all about being hands on, just like being a great manager in business, you got to surround yourself with a great supporting cast who can help people reach their full potential. Look at Pep Guardiola, his Manchester City teams are dominant in the league but until this past season they always flopped in the Champions League, I suppose he isn't one of the best manageers on the planet? Most high quality teams are built that way, win domestically and hope for the best when you play outside of your country. Oh and about her coaching the men's team? Duh, glad you were able to cotton on, really no need for you to remark about the obvious, kind of spoils the joke. And as for being factual, it's the internet, enough said.

One of the most important things a football and Soccer player can do is to strengthen their core or mid section, and lower body because that's mostly what they use on the pitch. Players need to have good center of gravity to accomplish all the movements they have to do while playing. I guess Rose, Horan, and Alex never got that message. Same with Ashley Sanchez!
