1:03:12 for the Lavelle backheel assist for Morgan's goal that the announcers just ignored. Highlight of the game and Foudy and whoever this guy is can't even acknowledge it. The spanish announcers are sooooo much better.

They're just used to seeing and expecting that from the US team. To be honest, EVERY goal has someone who assists with the ball feed at some point. There were a couple back kicks/slips from the US in this game alone that didn't lead to anything important. It's more interesting to see a US player completely fake out and opponent leading to a score. I'm just used to seeing that kind of creativity from the US Women so I just took in stride. Maybe I'm spoiled.

@@riptide6161 Yeah so common and mundane of an assist that they made a big deal out of it in the post game show highlights and then Foudy re-created it, or tried to, in the pregame show of the next match against New Zealand.

@@sem6084 Well, sem, I see your point. Let me elaborate just a bit... Maybe the commentators were more focused on the goal? One thing I DON'T do is criticize people whose job I have NO training or experience in. They're doing their job as best they can. It's why they're paid to do that. The announcers weren't dismissing Levelle as an insignificant chump whose skills aren't worthy of mention. It's my instinct to defend someone who is criticized when I feel they really shouldn't have been criticized. BTW, I'm a Levelle toadie. If I WAS an announcer, I probably would have mentioned her assist, but... I'm not. IDK... maybe I would have missed it. It's common with the USWNT to see that type of play anyway. I see your point though. Maybe they DID fumble at the goal line but I'm not gonna slag them about it.

I am looking for Sophia Smith, but I donn´t see her in the usa team. Who knows what the reason is ? New injury ? Thanks in advance for a short info !

She was a minor foot injury. She should be back for She Believes.

I think the US team would be a great study for sports Psychologists to chart the performance of a team and the relationship to team dynamics of how they think over a period of time (say 8 or 9 yrs). They have never been lacking in skills level.

Remember when Brazil lost 8-0 in Brazil for the world cup 2014? I feel like NZ is in store for a similar embarrassment. Why were they awarded the host bid, was it because they're so close to Australia?
@ritasinkovec1693 Жыл бұрын
1,400 miles isn't exactly next door but everything is relative. NZ is probably the closest neighbor to the Aussies.

She has never been accused of being too lithe, agile and nimble. Lumbering is more her speed. Though we need at least one husky and brawny player to stem the tide of the Kiwis' and Matildas' unscrupulousness and disgusting dirtiness. Ertz used to fill this role at times but never with the ruthlessness of those wood choppers of the southern hemisphere.

Since when has soccer become a contact sport? When I played soccer for 13 years in my early days we respected game rules and respected other players. What is wrong with the younger generation?

Heyt Voker. Time to get a better camera. If you are going to copy a game, at least use one that works. Every time I see one of your "productions" my eyes go sideways trying to see what is happening. Anyone moves and the film goes blurry. Instead of driving us to blindness, invest in good equipment. From now on I will not bother watching any game where you are on the production "team". It just ain't worth it.

Voker, I thank you for your great work and good heart. Looking a gift horse in the mouth for a moment, It would be sooo nice if you could show us at least part of the opening proceedings like the walk-in, the singing and the rosters. And this time you chopped off the ending entirely. Too bad.
