UT Lack Of Root Penetration Signal

This video demonstrates the Ultrasonic Testing signal when inspecting a weld with lack of root penetration. Equipment: Olympus EPOCH 1000i UT tester, 70 degree, 4Mhz, 10mm diameter transducer, 0.625" thick base metal single V welded plate.
