UT PGE Department History - UT PGE Always #1

On 12 November 2010, The UT Austin Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering (UT PGE) hosted a dinner reception to honor distinguished alumni of the department.
This video provided a glimpse into three eras in the department's history:
• 1930s-1950s, the Department's founding during the era of wildcatting and unbridled entrepreneurialism.
• 1950s-1980s, the era of corporate oil and the emergence of Texas onto the world stage.
• 1980s-present, the era of energy as the primary driver of world economies.
The video was narrated by UT PGE professor Steven Bryant and featured guest appearances by alumnus George Fancher Jr. '61 B.S.P.E., '62 M.S.P.E., Professor Emeritus Ben Caudle '43 B.S.Ch.E., '63 Ph.D P.E., and Professor Larry Lake.
