I have mixed feelings of them changing some of the dialogue but I like them having a story for Shadow and Black Doom returning. I also was touched when Shadow shed a tear. I wish I could have seen him when he was living with Maria on the space colony. I wish I could have seen him so happy.

Update Foreshadowing Discussion: In addition to Shadow facing Silver to win, though with an upgraded version of Sonic's gameplay, and in addition to Shadow facing Sonic to win in his playable perspective/campaign, Silver deserves to face Sonic before facing Shadow to win in his playable perspective/campaign. Likewise, Silver, similarly to Sonic(Both eras), and to Shadow, wants to go to Kingdom Valley, to Crisis City, to Flame Core, to Dusty Desert, to Aquatic Base, to Radical Train, to Tropical Resort, to Sweet Mountain, to Planet Wisp, to Asteroid Coaster, to Terminal Velocity, to the City levels of Sonic Forces, to Chaos Island, to Ares Island, to Rhea Island, to Ouranos Island, to Kronos Island, to the Mystic Jungle levels for Forces, to the Green Hill levels for Forces, to the Death Egg levels for Forces, and to the Cyberspace levels for Sonic Frontiers. Then Sonic(Classic and Modern) deserves to go to the levels of Sonic Mania/Plus to honour City levels like Sunset Heights, to use additional Wisp abilities, to use Wispons, and to use Double Boost. Do not forget Co-op battles between Sonic, Shadow, and Silver. Likewise, Sonic, and Silver deserve to face Mephiles. Then, Sonic, Shadow, and Silver deserve to face Iblis.
