As Deino, if I see any baby dinos, I just stay on land and wait for it to be dumb enough to attack me and when there is any adult dino (expect Tenonto, Dryo and Hypsi) I go straigh to water.

Fighting dieno is pointless to me (BUT very entertaining lol) if they are close to water. When they get a little low, back to the water they go (don't blame em) so they are just water hazards to me. Was fighting a teno yesterday (as a utah) when I heard big slow footsteps coming from the woods in the direction of water. So I backed off a bit thinking the commotion attracted a gator but the teno and gator walked up to each other right close then turned around and looked at me... I noped out of that bullshit... Then went back for a few nips at the teno lol Really hate mix packing :/ something is definitely wrong when a teno runs to the water full of deino for safety... ew

1:08 the instant pickup mechanic is kinda stupid in situations like this, I think biting should automatically drop what you have in your mouth, specifically because when you're attacking small things you'll get stuck with one of them in your mouth and pressing g works (sometimes).

Its not that stupid considering that a... normal animal mostly just wants to eat, not fight in a gauntlet. It'd grab its food and leave to eat it. This isnt call of duty. Seeking to achieve a "high kill count" is pointless here

@@karenboy1005 If you happen to grab something that slows you down, I'd agree, but grabbing small things doesnt slow you down. Moving is already something you were doing to avoid incomming attacks in the first place, you're only momentarily disabled of your attack.... bah you win, im losing interest in discussing this further. No offense. How about we just agree to disagree and leave it at that?

like how you just randomly point out that pesky is in your pack. also is it just me or is it now impossible for the teno to time a tail slam when a carno is charging. i get stunned when the carno hits my tail. forces me to just run outa the way

Yeah the timing is very thin for teno, you mess up you get knocked down so i tend to avoid a charge

anyone got any idea why some of my attacks dont work. For example my ALT-bite doesnt work on any dino, and the claw swipe on tenonto doest work either.

Did you tried deleting isle save folder from your appdata folder? Your key settings (and all settings) will reset.

Why don’t you ever group with your friend so that you guys would see each other better in situations and if you are fighting the same species as yourself then you can keep track of her. All you have to do is friendly call to be in group with her. Unless you already knew that.

Be agile, always move but get stam when you can without sitting. Bleed your target as much as possible with pounce and rarely fight carnos unless your in a group

Have you figured out how to increase your chances of escaping in case a deinosuchus grabs you? I managed to escape once, and also got killed in another couple instances,, is it random?. I have no idea what really happens so I thought I could ask you. I love the videos so far by the way!

Its based on the deinos stam, if it has full stam your dead if it has less then half you may be able to escape depending on your stam aswell

just dont even try the pounce on a carno, its out of sync 95% of the time... you glitch out get locked in the animation he gets 2 bites in and a third one would kill you.

Honestly not sure why the deino doesn't have a tail whip, considering a gator could break a human leg with one

Because the real animal doesnt use its tail as an offensive tool. Sure its tail could possibly do a lot of damage but they dont know how to use their tails like that. And their anatomy doesnt hold up for that

@@FrogOnAHorse they swing it around to get away but they dont use it to attack things. Even if the did use their tails offensively irl, itd really mess up the game and make them almost invincible to being attacked since their covered from all sides 24/7

I managed to win a head-on fight against a small raptor, as a pteranodon once, so i'd say the damage is decent against them if your sizes are similar.

They truly need to buff deino too like 400 dmg. It can’t even 1 shot a Utah. And ptera is just god awful, can’t even kil a dryo without being killed. Oh and stego can 1 shot ptera with bite. Trash game, Trash Balance.

Or, you should play like the animal should :P deino = ambush so you should ambush a utah. Pt is a scavenger/fisher so you should only kill babies or fish.

@@DRAGONZz Deino is a bit weak though if we're being real here but that's where I disagree with @Unlimited_Ubera because they do enough damage but their hitbox to actually bite something is terrible. Ptera should never in a million years win against anything besides Oro/Taco and velo. and great video btw I enjoyed it!

@@existentialnihil I'm actually really glad pt here isn't like pt in BoB. Never have been able to kill a pt in BoB but that's because the majority on the server I play on are huge and are a clan and they nest each other with their eggs. It's actually a chill dino here and I'm happy.😭
