Just be mindful the buy sell spread is only good up to 10k a month in withdraws also ACH deposits have a substantial hold period. I only make large deposits by wire if I need access to the money in a reasonable time frame.

Just an fyi....Im in Canada...just went to the UPMA website, filled in the information to create an account, got to page 3 (Consumer Agreement), viewed the privacy policy, kliked the accept for the User Agreement ....BUT.....the "Submit" button remained grayed out and wont proceed with creating an account...SO....I'm assuming, though they might ship anywhere in the world, you have to be a USA citizen in order to create an account and obtain the free goldback....

Drake Savory the premium is factored into the exchange rate through the bank. If I get paid 635 goldbacks for a job, I can deposit them in my UPMA acct, and withdrawal a 1oz eagle, even though the goldbacks only have 63.5% as much gold. The production cost is factored into the exchange rate

It's worth the gold value. Think about it like this: If you take a 1 Euro note in the US, it's not worth 1 Euro, but rather $1.20 even thought the face value is 1.

From what I can tell, it is like bitcoin but with physical, actual gold backed currency. So far Utah and companies in Utah that 'decide' to accept it, consider it a 'currency.' Gold has actual worth, compared to cloth/fabric/etc notes made by a government that they declare to be a 'legal representation' of having 'value/worth.' In Government eyes (and for legal reasons they list this) these notes are not legal (to the government). Companies/Businesses (most likely local business) that wish to accept a physical note that contains gold, they can do so. What they can really do with those bills are limited to companies/businesses that will take them. Ganna be hard to get a federal bank to accept them.

There is no fee to join. There are fees if you have gold or silver in your account(these fees cover vaulting and insurance) but it doesn't cost anything to join.

The denomination number gives the weight of gold in the notecoin, in thousandths of a troy ounce. Thus: a 5 Gb contains .005 troy ounce of gold., a 25 Gb contains .025 troy ounce, and so on.
