Meg, nice work! I was chuckling when I heard you express anxiety and worrying about doing this ride. I knew it would be a piece of cake for you. I was surprised that everybody was trying to spot you when you took a harder line early on at the 1st big challenge section-- a no brainer for you. Yes, the trees are all very stiff. When in the desert, I always say the plants are never your friend. They are always nasty whether it's a cactus or a tree...wood is stiff, dry, pokey, and hard. Thanks for sharing.

I gotta say.. You ride better than any man I've ridden with over this kind of terrain. You have great finesse. The guys I've ridden with would never get through this trail. I had to ride a guys 450 XL out of a canyon after he broke his clutch handle twice. He couldn't believe I did it while he rode my 400 EX Quad out of there at Sunflower Mine, AZ. LOL WOW he sucked. While I enjoyed the challenge of getting his no clutch bike out of there. I'm glad it was a 4 stroke engine though. LOL

Thanks! Yeah it was a great time for sure. I was worried at first because I've heard so many horror stories about this trail being so tough. But you're right, it's really not super tough because the rock is so grippy. If the rock was slippery, that would be a whole different story.

Do people have to change the jetting or oil mixture for slow rides like this? i have never done long slower rides like this but when i do short stuff my bike will get loaded up a bit maybe even foul a plug. i just recently got a lectron carb so trying to get that tuned in correctly so far so good.
@jonellwanger72584 жыл бұрын
Premix Utah change your Jetting, sometimes it’s as easy as moving the clip up on the needle jet so it sits lower. Smaller pilot jet as well maybe.
@jonellwanger72584 жыл бұрын
Also depends on the bike. The carb changes I suggested are what did me good on my 91 kx500 in the picture. I’m in Colorado, and ride down in he city, and high up in the mountains. No jet change unless it’s cold ass weather. Never had a fouling problem, always started up, first couple kicks.
