As a Native-born and raised Utahn, I can definitely say a lot of the local politicians updated "new things" they're adding are not what Utahns want. We're a very family-oriented state, and ergo need more urban development, not more Latte shops. Build more of those in the cities... not in Urban areas! Utahns: "I can't afford housing... I make 5 figures, have a wife and kids relying on me..." Out of touch Utah politicians: "Best I can do is more Latte shops Jack." Just goes to show how out of touch Utah's politicians are with the local electorate.
@scottdsteeleАй бұрын
Urban development includes the businesses that support the wants and needs of the people... including those latte shops. If they don't get evoke business, they close...if they have plenty of customers, they expand

No, Utah caters exclusively to Californians moving in and illegal immigrants. Did you know the feds consider Utah a sanctuary state, one of the few that gives illegals drivers licenses. This is to depress wages and increase land values.

My family did. We vote red. My mother’s ancestors inhabited Heber Valley as pioneers. A lot of people with Utah roots are coming back to Utah. It’s nearly unlivable in blue states. We moved from California. We all live here now after being raised in California. There’s nothing wrong with coming home. To all the outsiders… if you move here, don’t try to change the culture. Be happy raising a family here and shut up and vote red.

Hi Scott. I just moved here to Utah from Illinois for work. Abosolutely love it here in SLC. Prior to moving here, I have been to national parks around here and loved it. Never knew I'd be landing a job here and moving here. SLC Airport is also wonderfully constructed. I believe its one of the best airports in the country. Currently living in South Salt Lake and exploring the surroundings! Please recommend some cool spots! Would love to connect with you!

@@luvslogistics1725 You should move somewhere else. Housing is way too expensive here. The mentality here is fine, and we have the perfect level of diversity. The one thing you can do to help us, is convince people to leave so housing competition will be reduced and prices can go back down to normal. more than 100k for a manufactured home with a thousand dollar a month HOA fee is just stupid.

st. george is lacking so much retail and commercial space. i thought it was that nothing wanted to come here and i was always like "we have 210,000 people why don't we have things like a marshalls, nike, whole foods, raising canes, etc?" then i realized it's because nobody is developing strip malls (as sad as that sounds). all we get is houses after houses after houses. with the occasional commercial corner with a soda shop and maybe a pharmacy. like they can make strip malls look good. because we NEED a 2nd target and a bunch of 2nds and 3rds of other stores. i can't wait to move to downtown slc. other then that, great video.

I'm not sure why you're saying that you'll own nothing in Daybreak. Daybreak specifically doesn't allow anyone to buy a home here unless it's a primary residence.
@vettman632 ай бұрын
@@scottdsteele Exactly. We're in the early stages of 15 minute cities. It's called the Totalitarian tiptoe. First you build and sell the idea of convenience so that people adopt the "lifestyle". Then you bankrupt everyone with continued out of control government spending, eliminate cash so you can infinitely inflate the money supply and BOOM! Foreclosures skyrocket and people are forced to rent. It's all been planned for decades by the WEF.

I understand what you're saying as well as why some people believe what you believe...I just don't see how you can apply that to Daybreak. It's absolutely false and all one needs to research is very minimal. Ownership rates as well as the CC&R's for the community.

Boring? It just depends on what you find entertaining. The majority of people moving here do not find it boring at all. As for taxes, there's a 1.85% total difference in overall tax burden between Utah and Montana. Montana is just a little cheaper for many, and more expensive for higher earners as they have a higher income tax for the higher brackets.
