Utah State University is a public land-grant research university in Logan, Utah. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. With nearly 20,000 students living on or near campus, USU is Utah's largest public residential campus.
Founded in 1888 as Utah's agricultural college, USU focused on science, engineering, agriculture, domestic arts, military science, and mechanic arts. The university offers programs in liberal arts, engineering, business, economics, natural resource sciences, as well as nationally ranked elementary & secondary education programs. It offers master's and doctoral programs in humanities, social sciences, and STEM areas (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). It received its current name in 1957.
The university is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities - High research activity". Utah State University has produced 7 Rhodes Scholars, 1 Nobel Prize winner, 1 MacArthur Fellows program inductee, 4 recipients of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship and 34 recipients of the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship. USU has nine colleges and offers 159 undergraduate degrees] 83 master's degrees, and 41 doctoral degrees. USU's main campus is in Logan, with regional campuses in Brigham City, Tooele, and the Uintah Basin, and 28 other locations throughout Utah. In 2010, the College of Eastern Utah, in Price Utah, joined the USU system becoming Utah State University College of Eastern Utah (USU Eastern). Throughout Utah, USU operates more than 20 distance education centers. Regional campuses, USU Eastern, and distance education centers account for 61.6% of the students enrolled. USU has 149,000 alumni in all 50 states and 110 countries.
USU's athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are collectively known as the Utah State Aggies. They are a member of the Mountain West Conference.

The Old Triads, mostly married couples. Across the street, used to have the Trailer Park, which is now used for parking. I saw a shuttle bus (which they had them when I was up there in 1978-1982). My first room in the West High Rise faced the cemetery. (They used to use both High Rises for the dorms. They added another parking garage, and the Edith Bowen Lab School used to only be one story high. I had classes and did the Jr. Block of Elementary Education but ended up with Liberal Arts. Glad I didn't become a teacher now. The Education Building was added after I graduated. I like the new building, and much better location being right next to the Lab School. The College of Education used to be way on the other side of the Quad. The library is new since I went there, as an addition was added to the Business Building. Utah State University and Logan has grown quite a bit since I went to school there. The building on the corner next to the HYPER building is also new since I was at USU.

It is not old miss. The original building is Old Main. My Alma Mater. Got my Bachelor's and Masters degrees there.

Thanks for the video tour. With how strict covid policies are in Oregon I am considering a transfer USU. Utah is one of few states which has a policy against mask mandates. Logan also seems to be a great setting for a Conservation and Restoration major. Any advice for someone who has never been to Logan?

I think Logan is a great little city, very beautiful and so close to the mountains. Be aware that it is a busy town. I would love to go to this college in the future but I'm honestly scared because I recently did some research and found out that there have been rumors about Utah State University being cruel to animals and experimenting on them in the lab and also I don't know if it's just old cases that were recently uploaded on KZbin or if they were recent cases that are brand new that were uploaded on KZbin about how many victims there were of molestation and rape that happened at Utah State University and suicide at Utah State University and how you talk State University hasn't taken action immediately when these victims were telling them that they were molested or rape I honestly don't know what to believe it would help me and I would be very grateful if you could help me out with this or tell me if these are true or not

So you are right. USU repeatedly mishandles cases of sexual assault on campus. 3 sexual assaults reported in one night per newscast. There was also a football player charged with 8 crimes including rape. So you do have to be aware of your surrounding and the people you come in contact with. The number one draw is the mountain setting and it's a smaller college.

Yes, there are some new buildings but not as many as you may think. Overall its got a good combination of old and new.

Leila, they are building new buildings at the rate demand requires. New Ag building, new Huntsman Business center, new education/psychology building and others. There are several buildings new and old not shown in this video including on campus housing that is fairly new. There were some unfortunate incidents that took place a few years ago. President Cockett has made campus safety a priority and things have improved. USU is an excellent school that ranks high nationally in many categories year after year. I started at a different university in the state but was unhappy there and transferred to USU where I obtained 3 different degrees. I felt it was on par or better academically and as safe as the other institution. The building in this video they said was a credit union is actually the the University Welcome Center, but does include a credit union. If you are still researching colleges, contact them. The campus is beautiful, the student body is very friendly and inclusive, the academics are first class and the professors are very approachable and accessible.
