@@jasond5405 kenworth has done nothing to improve their w900 sleepers in 20 years. They're still setup with a shelf and strap like your going to put a 13inch tube TV back there.

@@victoryrider This new w990 has a all computer controlled cab and wiring that is absolute garbage compared to the non computer w900. All these new trucks with the computer controlled cabs with fibreoptic wiring are junk. I spent 3 days now working on a 2016 Freightliner that has the computer controlled cab with automatic start system and it keeps engaging the starter with nobody even in the truck with the keys not even in the truck!! Or while The truck is running the starter will kick on!! Or you get in the truck and the starter won't work at all and then you try it 2 minutes later and it works fine!! But you will never have problems like that with a w900 with no computer controlling every single switch and function in the cab.

@@jasond5405 the new 990 and new 900 have all the same computers and wiring. Just the 990 has an updated sleeper. I cant disagree the 86 inch studio is really nice. Just be nice if they'd modernize it.

@@victoryrider The w900 has 100% different wiring than the w990 and the w900 doesn't even have a BCM like the 990!!! And the w900 is THEE last real truck made in the U.S. that isn't destroyed by junk computers and junk wiring!! All these new computerized trucks are complete garbage. I own a mobile truck and trailer repair business and 40% of my road calls are trucks within 6 years old and they are electrical issues between wiring and BCM's. And the other 50% of my calls are emmissions related!! And the other 10% of my calls are for everything else that has to do with a truck or trailer.

Need to keep the 86 inch studio! Why would they get rid of the best and most popular sleeper configuration Paccar has come up with? Amazing! The title implies that this is a tour of the sleeper however about 30 seconds was about sleeper!

Nice looking. Is the cab or sleeper insulated ? I drive a Pete 567 and the electronic issues are getting old. That's the problem with these new trucks and then you have to take it on becouse you dont have the program to fix it. Downtime should be non existent with a new Truck !! It's a Laptop with WHEELS.

I think there are gonna be alot of pissed off drivers with KW if they ever discontinue the W900 I believe their sales will really suffer, as you know Peterbilt went through the same thing when they discontinue the classic 379 model and they quickly spawned the now model 389 long hood

Peterbilt replacing the 379 with the 389 was always their plan. Aside from the hood getting longer on the 389s and new crown, they're basically just a newer 379 anyway.

I like smaller cab area, and the studio sleeper of the w9. It made it really feel like the work area was more separated from your off duty area. This is just a 680 with a long and ridiculously wide hood.

Just not liking this truck. It looks tooo much like a International 9900 and/or the freightliner classic xl. I know aero is the way to go and designs are changing these days. If they could just keep the classic front windows on the sleeper and keep the Studio Sleeper 86' with the couch. Those cabinets in the back would work great with the couch especially with the extra floor space a couch provides.

3:35 A disappointment: In Quebec (at least), we NEED a "spike" because we have to set at 30-35 psi to bail out... and see the trailer drum brakes if their brake boosters and slack adjusters are working properly! They must be at 90 degrees to be deemed OK on a vehicle inspection report! With this boon-dongle, welcome the failed tests at the Driver Evaluation Centres!

Wow, Kenworth finally copied the Volvo 880 🙄 WHITE backlighting on the gauges? Try red for night vision. Wing panel gauges are facing the sleeper, not the driver. Main panel is largely obstructed by the wheel. Boxy front end, a mix of the worst features of the Mack &Western Star. TINY fridge. Calling it a nice size is like when a woman tells a guy his Johnson is a good size = SMALL. I’m truly underwhelmed by this truck.

Tyler Buckley Volvo doesn’t copy Freightliner. I’d actually consider owning a 780 or the new 860, but nothing Freightliner makes interests me in the least. The Cascadia is a very poorly laid out truck, poorly made and comes with a Detroit. No thanks. Volvo makes a truck that rides like a long wheelbase Pete, has fit and finish like a quality car and is far better equipped than the best FL offers. This KW looks a LOT like the 880 (Google that truck and compare the hood/fenders. Boxy and ugly, like Volvo cars of the 1980s. The only features I like about the KW is the 86” size of the Studio Sleeper and the integral cab/sleeper that I wish Peterbilt would add to the 389.

All u special owner ops should buy this and have a 2,500$ a month payment and higher insurance. This way I can get me hands on some good loads with my 2007 Columbia and no payments hahahahah If I can turn a bolt with a old wrench and do it over and over with out issue then why would I buy a new fancy colorful wrench that does the same job but cost 10 times as much??? A truck is a tool. My tool makes my bank account mine. This tool makes you a servant to the banks and the dealers for repairs.

By them buying his truck is not going to get you any good loads they can take good loads just like you can. If they want to pay let them pay every truck was new at one point and everybody bought a truck at some point whether it was new used or you pay cash for it. If you didn't pay cash for you financed it. I just don't understand how people say crazy things like that I got three friends with new trucks and they are doing just fine. I see people leasing on with these companies they're doing just fine. Heck I even know somebody who pays 2600 a month for his truck he'll be out for about 4 weeks and take off full 9 days off. He's got a 2017 w900L and he has a lowboy with a contract to haul military equipment. And he's doing probably better than the both of us combined. It just depends on what you got going on out here. Everybody truck needs repairs the new ones in the used ones. You definitely have to make repairs just like everybody else.

LTS Logging but the 567 set forward axle is a lame attempt at mimicking a 389 which looks like a wet noodle. Also the sleepers in the new gen petes are a total let down compared to their predecessors. As an owner of a Peterbilt that I really like, my next truck will have to be a kdub. I’m not totally sold on the w990 but a w900L is eye candy to me. You can only get the fancy dash with the navplus unit on the petes and they only have 6 extra gauges vs 12 on the kw.

CACressida I agree. The sleeper and sound system was a total letdown for me. I wanted a Heritage package but they only do it on the day cab or big sleepers. I do like how big the cab is tho. Lots of room. I’m 6’1” so having room is nice
