This might be my favorite SC2 video of all time! But we NEEED to know how many probes were killed in the second match! There were so many mineral lines demolished over and over again. Absolutely nuts! And those immortals at the end, living up to their name, damn! Go for it, you are supposed to screw up at first - you'll lose most of your early games so be prepared, but eventually you'll start winning a few and then you'll be hooked

Interesting/bigger maps like these which it's actually viable to take spread out bases far away are ideal for SC2, it really helps give much more interesting games. When maps are simple and bases are clumped closely together, it does help give a defender's advantage which SC2 lacks, but the games often become "this side vs that side", rather than smaller groups of units moving all over trying to do various things and intercept other small forces. If only the game could have been balanced more around bigger maps from the start, since the issue with having only big maps is that Zerg tends to be favored (and slightly Protoss vs Terran). Despite that though, LotV has definitely made huge strides towards providing "smaller fights around the map" gameplay that people love about BW. Things like recall and gold bases also help make it viable and to take far away bases early on (and defend them), which provides unique games.

Me neither. I kept thinking "Surely it's going to take him three or four minutes minimum to rebuild", but he had two full mineral lines again like 5 seconds later, and pumped out 4 archons in the meantime. Is this what happens when you can actually macro?

Archons cost as many minerals as a zealot and Marc never killed the probes on gas

@@Hephera In theory yes, but any interruption is a chance for failure on their part. Mind you, this protoss would probably instantly saturate the gas again. No interruption on gas mining at all is pretty much allowing continuous archon production, even if you kill almost all the mineral probes.
