It’s not befitting for a brother who’s in involved in dawah to be constantly and repeatedly talk about his gangster past like this We already have knife crime which is hitting the roof and now he’s adding more fire to the fuel by making the gangster lifestyle more glamorous He needs just stop and stick to dawah leave these fabricated stories alone He never been with cartels it’s all hype

@@m1visual411why should the youth be interested in listening to someone because they came from a gangster life? Prophet Mohammed pbuh was the best human being to ever walk the earth and what was he’s background before he became a prophet he was known to be trustworthy and he would spend so much time worshipping Allah. If a woman revert started talking about how many men she dated before islam the brothers would not be happy about it because it’s not honourable, similarly the gangster life is pure filth and it’s not honourable so he shouldn’t be talking about it in so much detail. Whats with this celebrity type attitude when it comes to daa'ees nowdays? Why do we need to hear about thier past lives? Why does it seem like its indirectly almost glorified to come from a 'gangster' background and why do we need to hear about a persons sinful past which they should be concealing anyway? I respect sheikh uthman alot and may Allah reward him for what he does but why do we need to keep hearing that hes come from this 'gangster' past... So have many others. Wallahi i see this as nothing but a fitna in the ummah in the dawah scene, placing people on this wierd sort of pedestal that they are 'gangsta'. If you think i am wrong then show me any sahaba/salaf/major scholar of this ummah that has sat down and spoken about themselves and thier lives like this......
@chickenfighter2374Ай бұрын
I think he brings it up a lot because it allows him to give dawah to a group of people that can relate to him and his past lifestyle - even in the uk where everyone wants to be a gangster because of music,etc. i genuinely think its a good thing to have ppl like uthman and akhi ayman, it gives ppl that are on that lifestyle a lifeline to realise they can still turn back to allah (swt) from even the most heinous acts and furthermore influence the younger generations to submit to allah (swt) - although i do agree sharing ur past sins is not great but if it allows for hundreds and hundreds of people to hear the message or even to look into islam or let alone remember allah and stop a potential sin im all for it
@user-ze9tj9yj4tАй бұрын
bro just because you don't benefit from it because you don't relate to it, doesn't mean nobody does. many people are stuck in this life and look upto him, and hearing this will in sha Allah help them to understand that there's a light at the end of the tunnel

Read the life of Fudayl ibn Iyaad, he was a highway robber most of his life, he was climbing over a fence to fornicate with a slave girl, and while he was climbing he heard someone reciting they ayat where allah says" Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allāh and what has come down of the truth? He heard this and sought repentance from Allah... He died being known as the Aaabidu Al Haramain, a righteous man that great scholars of Al-Islam such as Abdullah ibn Mubarak wrote the famous poem, قال عبدُ الله بنُ المُباركِ: يا عابدَ الحَرَمينِ لوْ أبصرْتَنا I hope that answers your question

First of all, I’m from San Diego, the city he’s claiming to have grown up in… born and raised since the early 80’s. The gang he says he was from, ESD x13 from East San Diego/ Mid City area, including the one he claims came after him, Lomas from the Golden Hills area are nowhere near as deep as he says. Even with their generations of members over the last several decades that is a stretch. They’re not even 1k strong at this very moment, let alone 5k or whatever number he fabricated here. Regarding his belonging, the vast majority of Latino barrios won’t court someone (initiate) because they can fight or because they saw/ heard they stood up for themselves. Normally, it’s one of two reasons, you have family and you get blessed in (walk-in) or you are recruited and jumped-in (put on) because you live in said barrio or kick it there. This dude is a phony and more than likely only knew of these hoods because he went to school with some of them and lived in the area for a short time. Maybe just maybe, they let him kick it, but I’m calling BS on his belonging. At most, it’s possible he was affiliated at one point, but then they ran him out because he was a buster (fake, snitch, punk, etc.). A lot of what he says is common knowledge that a civilian (non-banger) would know if they grew up anywhere near a hood or knew some gangbangers. Hell, he probably studied it on KZbin, Reddit, Gangland or some other source via Google! He’s definitely a good storyteller who can weave hearsay in with general nonsense. The only factual remark he made was concerning Logan Heights being one of the most deepest gangs in Daygo (SD), which even then, could be argued because there’s a lot of old barrios in the county such as OTNC, Otay, Posole, Sherman, Shelltown, San Ysidro, etc., just to name a few. Saying that he witnessed even half the things he spoke on is a complete joke, trust me. Not only was I active in the streets during my youth and young adulthood, but I know a lot of ppl and am well-versed in hood politics/ history. I found this interview comical, especially the rival-hood war stories, cartel visit, and threatening of his teacher(s) at school… what a clown. This guy should be downright ashamed of himself and have his interview credentials revoked!
