Showing love to dogs as muslim is so rare and this is sad. Some brothers and sisters got the idea that dogs are haram, while only the saliva is the issue. I agree that dogs are not as clean as other pets, but they are still a creation of Allah and should not be discriminated by us muslims. Sheik gave a good dawah just by showing his compassion to this dog in front of his owner. May Allah bless you, Sheik

Most muslims only afraid of dogs I guess, like me, or they don't want to be licked which will make them clean the licked part 7 times 1x with soil. It would be inconvenient so most Muslims avoid dogs.
