The government needs to activate farming in western Jamaica... follow the rain.. Hanover and Westmoreland..also part of st.james...water can be moved by connecting water pipes like relays from western Jamaica to eastern Jamaica...also activate farming in duckets, chesterfield, maroon town, garland among other rain wet areas.... just be intelligent and be proactive.... follow the rain 😮

Would like to invest and move to Jamaica. Unfortunately these leaders say come home and so on. However, when you contact their offices to find out more about what they offer their staff do not respond at all. I don’t understand. I am looking for government leased land to start farming. So far no luck. How can people return home and contribute to the economy when we cannot even have someone respond to our inquiries?

I have a large piece of land in St. Mary, interested in farming but not sure what to farm and how to go about it. plus am afraid of (reapers who did plant)

I hope this help is being offered to Jamaican and the diaspora and not to foreign investors who will come and they use poor Jamaican taxpayers money to subsidise them and they push the small farmers out of business in their different communities and life becomes very much harder for the small farmers while the investors flourish. I know what I'm talking about, my parents were small farmers all their lives, my brothers were small farmers I am a small farmer and many more of my family. I'm a registered member of RADA and have never gotten any benefit. I tried to get some exotic mangoe trees imported to Jamaica from Florida and I was given the run around, I went to several RADA branches including different departments I was sent to in Kingston and to the end was left at a dead end. I also tried to get a farming vehicle imported through RADA to facilitate the import costs but was denied because although I met all other requirements just because I did not have a registered title for my four acres of land I was denied the help. The rich always gets the help and also people who are active in politics but not the trying people, we have to fight on our own. I also opened a very small self serve grocery store and because the government gives the Chinese the licence to go in every little village and set up supermarkets and other businesses and locked down the little business of citizen who born and grown in their communities, I had to close down including many more small businesses like mine What the Chinese do is start out their business at a lower costs than what we're able to sell at just to run us out of business and as soon as we're locked down they hike their prices back to where ours were and sometimes even beyond. Government do not care about any of this but they drive around and put demand documents on our buildings etc and take us to court when we're shut down from doing business and cannot pay our taxes etc. I know cause I felt it
