Nicely done design! It doesn't look like everything found on every independent pattern collection and the big four. Unique garments are rare and you've accomplished that. The bull denim will soften with washings. Some extra fabric soften will help it along. I was thinking of this in a black linen with a slightly longer length so that I could also wear it to work or church as well as a casual pieces. I have visions of jewelry, scarves and belts dancing around in my head with this garment. Kudos!

Looks awesome - and so fun to sew. I always love your very thoughtful techniques, Lydia! 😊 I can't wait to go to work and dig through the pattern boxes in the stockroom for this pattern. 😅 What is the purpose of the ease stitching on the collar and lapel? Does it function in the same way as the "turn of cloth" concept to hide the seamline? 🙂

Thank you! The ease stitch is there because the top collar is slightly bigger, and yes it is as you say to hide the seamline.
