Huge Phillies fan but that first series back in Citi field as a Dodger when Utley hit 2 homers while getting renlentlessly booed was one of my favorite moments

Deservedly, as he did break a shortstop’s leg.

@@carterkulm2306 That shortstop broke his own leg. Chase Utley was playing the game and made sure that double play wouldn't be turned and allowed that run to score. Ruben Tejada had no chance of turning a double play anyway as he was on the shortstop side of 2nd base. He was gonna throw across his body. Nothing dirty about that play. All of you softies need to quit crying about that slide.

This guy was an absolute blessing to the franchise. Maybe the most fundamentally sound baseball player ever

Chase Utley's bat control made for the prettiest and fastest swing of all time. It was as if his bat was part of his body. My favorite Philly.

There's just something special to me about these Met Assassins that come thru the ages. Before it was the 90's Braves lineup then came Utley

Note the score in most of these home dune. Almost all were when Chase’s team was behind, tied or had a slim lead. If I remember right, only one came in a blowout. Chase Utley was big time, and as Harry called it- CHASE UTLEY, YOU ARE THE MAN!

He was my favorite Phillie. My girlfriend knew nothing about sports but knew I liked Utley. Our joke was that I’d feed her rhetorical questions where the correct answer always would be “Chase Utley.”

Fantastic video. I was there for the granny off Edgin in July 2014. There were 2 outs and nobody on and Gee walked and HBP his way into a bases loaded situation. Edgin came in and Chase had a tremendous at bat. He fouled off a ton of pitches. Everyone in the stadium was guessing a slow breaking ball but not Chase. It was gone off the bat.
