This Age Cuttoff is July 1st. Literally a bunch of young 13u kids playing 12u. Nobody around the country starts public school in July. Much less july 1st. People around the country are still on vacations. We went to age based football to get the old holdback out of football. Because Literally old kids dominate in football. I dont even have to see these kids ages to know that alot of them have July birthdays. They more than likely aren't cheating. They are just playing in a bum league that goes by an absorbed age cutoff. Note to everyone on here. If you are born in July and are campaigning as a 12u kid. You aren't. You're a 13u kid playing 12u, with a huge advantage over teams that cant field alot of july kids on their teams like the ATL metro area can. Lets all play August 1st or even September's 1st, and these teams would look alot different. I will say this. Ive been coaching youth football for 15 years. Game recognize game. The coaches of the rare breeds do absolutely know what they are doing no doubt. But they absolutely unequivocally have a huge july 1st advantage to work with over alot of the teams they play that go by the universal age cutoff of August 1st.
