I'm going to be an upcoming freshman in the Fall and I found this video very helpful. I never got to see what the apartment looked like, but now that you have the same floor plan I now know.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/raecZ3yVd7GeqZI Thats a video made by utsa but its a walkthrough more or less with some fun music lol but it can give you an idea. I personally love the indoor track. They have tons of indoor sports and as of now the outside water "tubing" area is shutdown for repairs. sorry for the late reply:)

I have lived here for like a year and a half, it would have been less but I renewed because by the time I found out I was not going to transfer schools the place I wanted to live in was not available. The administration does not clean the apartments when you move in. The apartments don't have washers and dryers inside and it is not very spacious. There are many more places that are better and you pay around the same amount, some places less, some just a little more. The good things are that campus and the Rec center are very close, that is very convenient, and there are a lot of shuttle schedules (they don't run in the summer though). The maintenance request are solved really fast! But sometimes the pool in phase three is not always cleaned. You have to pay for parking for your guests and a parking permit for you even if you're a resident. The internet is speed is good during the day but extremely slow in the night like at 12 and on. I love that water comes hot almost instantly most of the days, but there are some few days when there's no hot water and you have to bathe with cold one, and in my apt, sometimes is hot and all of a sudden turns a little cold and comes back to hot, back and forth haha. The maximum weight for a pet is 30kg and the fee is like 400 dollars or more, not sure if it is one time or while you live here. Beds are super small too. The couch in the living room is super comfy. There are no fans in the rooms and no light in the living room. My experience overalll has been good, but I now that I have more experience seeing other apartments and my friend's places, I know that there are places with better rooms and amenities and I'm moving out for sure this summer.

Where would you recommend to go?

Where would you recommend living? Incoming freshamn here and I just wanna know all I can.
@valeriadelgadoe.15044 жыл бұрын
@@aang958 If you have a car, ride, or don't mind walking or taking the bus. High View is an amazing place and cheaper than other apartment complexes. I loved it there. (Maverick's Creek is the cheapest, but you share bathroom and don't have washer and dryer in your apartment). I really liked Madera, very spacious apartments and rooms for a non expensive price, but since I didn't have a car, the walks were very long when the shuttle was not available, you just have to call and ask about their shuttle/van times, specially in the summer. I really liked the Villas at Babcock as well. Tetro seems really nice, my friend liked living there. Aspen is really nice too. Avalon is on the more expensive side and really close. I've heard good experiences at Hill Country. Avoid The Outpost lol. The Luxx and Prado are also a little expensive but nice.

@Breno Figueiredo There is a lot of things off campus that are amazing in san antonio! so try to get off campus and explore!! umm tips just seriously stay on your work like the second you get it and you have time get it done because that will be less stress later. trust me the work sucks but you can manage. If you have any other questions ill do my best to answer them.

The wifi sucks everywhere thats a given! A wired connection in the apartments are great for both gaming and school work. The walls are thin, I used music to cover any loud sounds 0.o lol I moved back home because I will be moving into an actual apartment soon, oaks is fine for a first year college living experience.
@Kamoblue9 жыл бұрын
Would you still recommend the Oaks for a transfer student. I'd be starting as a junior.. not sure if that matters since I will still technically be a first year on campus but...

How crappy is the spring mattress? That's probably my biggest concern xD. This video helped on my decision thanks man.
@Domingueator9 жыл бұрын
From what I remember they are bad:P I made the choice to buy a more expensive bed topper because sleep is like the most important thing so I don't have a problem right now because I don't sleep directly on the mattress. So make sure you get one!:) And glad I could help.

Now that i have lived here for a while i would rather have an actual apartment but because this comes with all the utilities so saves you money but not the best:/ theres a few new places being built so maybe look up other options.

@Domingueator10 жыл бұрын
I didnt know that was an option :o but I would definitely get one with your own bathroom!! to answer your question, I can't :/ most of the rooms are occupied so just look at the online template from the UO website and compare it to this videos layout. :) good luck! definitely check out other options though!

@Domingueator8 жыл бұрын
It's like being on a new planet and everyone is free and you all wanna have fun so everyone gets along, I made so many friends the first month for the smallest reasons! It is super simple to make friends, so much so that it is sorta annoying that it's not always like that :P
