Very nice guys! I know I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, but you all have the cool COMS in your cars so spread out and don’t eat each other’s dust. I’ve wanted to do that ride for 6 years. Now I want to even more. 👍👍😎
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
We definitely did spread out for the most part. Garrett KRX is a Hoover vacuum and sucks his own dust into the cab.

Cool video. We are heading to sand hollow at end of April, we are definitely not setup with trailers and such, could you make this trip in one day?
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can definitely make it one day, but you'll needed to be sure to take extra gas with you for each machine
@theblong843 жыл бұрын
@@DerangedOffRoad thanks! It looked to be 60 miles straight line, so I figured fuel is necessary. Any special permits needed? We will already be riding sand hollow, so anything for crossing state lines?

As far as the law requires you need an Arizona offroad sticker and you need to be street legal to actually enter the grand canyon national park which is at the Toroweap overlook. I suggest joining this Facebook page for even more info. facebook.com/groups/utvutah/?ref=share

Once again an awesome episode. Getting out with my kids and ditching tech for a few days is my favorite part of owning a SXS. To take your kids see the G.C. while driving a SXS would be icing on the cake. Every time I take my kids down into the Ozark Mountains near home I pray it makes a positive impression on them. If you ever want to come ride the Ozark National Forest we'd love to show y'all around! Several days of beautiful riding and clean cold rivers to float and fish.

Great video! Great trip! We have a group going to the North Rim on RZR's and plan to be on these trails. What town would you recommend we base out of with an AirBnb?
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Probably St George Utah or Mesquite Nevada. You can ride in either way from those two locations. We’re based out of St. George Utah.

How many miles can you expect from a Honda talon compared to a Polaris razor before a rebuild of the motor?
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
There's a retired couple near me that had over 15,000 miles on their Talon before they had an issue with the airbox. Engine took in a bunch of dust and took a dump. They bought another Talon I believe. I've read about high milage RZR'S as well. 90% is maintanence and 10% luck

For the back of my truck I bought a high density Upholstery foam pad and a soft one off of Amazon. It’s more comfortable than my bed at home. I bought a pair of each and it fits perfectly in my tundra bed.

👍🏻👍🏻 i’ve got to be honest guys I’ve been enjoying the Jeep Rubicon. Me and the wife did the back way to Crown King and then drove home through bumble bee for a nice dinner in North Phoenix because we were clean as a whistle. Four wheeling with the windows up AC on and stereo cranking is really nice!

Garret when you were not pulling the trailer what gas mileage did you get? In May of 2021 I road to Toroweap then to Whitmore Canyon on into Hurricane and back . At the time I was in a different car. Now I'm in a KRX 1000 ES. Want to do the trip again. Concerned about the KRX gas mileage. I currently have the ability to carry 7 gal extra. I guess what I'm asking is how much extra gas did you carry for that trip, how many miles did you drive.
@DerangedOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
I had two five gallon cans on the front of the trailer. I only used about 17 gallons total. I will get around 120 miles or so per tank. I would say with your 7 gallon tank you shouldn’t have an issue. We did around 220 miles or so total. -Garrett

Thanks for posting this. I'm coming out to the North Rim with a Talon and X3 in June. Any idea if they can be ridden into the national park? Even street legal i assume not. Might have to park my trailer in Page and drive my truck in.
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
If your street legal you can ride into the park.... at least where we were at, Toroweap and Whitmore lookouts. Their definitely primitive areas. I’m not sure if you can get in other areas where the entrance is all pavement with lots of cars
