I've been running Kanati Mongrels ... work wonderful in rock and hard pack but the side walls get rim pinched easy. I have 3 of the 5 tires full of plugs and had to put in tubes. In order to keep these tires alive I have to run them at 16 lbs and the ride goes to hell. 11 pounds the tires work very well but get pinch flats on random rocks in the trail ... gotta really watch out. My opinion the side wall needs more plys.

I'm looking at buying tires for my wildcat trail 700. I want a great all terrain tire that I know will take me anywhere I wanna go. I do mainly rock climbing and dirt and gravel and sand. I'm stuck in between the sedona rip saw and kanati mongrel. could you give me suggestions on which would work best for my machine.

Hi there! Sounds like you don't do too much on road riding. If that's the case I'd lean towards the Rip Saw out of your two choices. I'd also recommend The Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 its a classic, go to tire. Also, take a look into the XD Roctane. I hope this helps!

I'm looking for a quiet tire on blacktop roads. Would the Kanati Mongrel be that tire? My Dirt Commanders are soooo loud you can't hear a thing.

+Todd Zautner Yes, the Mongrels would be quieter than the dirt commanders because they are an all terrain tire. Whereas the commanders have more of an aggressive tread pattern, making them louder on the hard top.

Hey Randy! The new Kanati Mongrels now come in a 10 ply construction. They also come in a 12" and 14" wheel size. The majority of sxs tires will be a 6-8 ply construction so I think the Mongrels will get the job done.

I have 32 inch assassinator mud tires on my scrambler 1k and want to try out the sand dunes would these work or do I need different tires

Hello Dylan, thanks for your inquiry. Paddle tires will give you the best possible performance, but any tire will work! Just air it down and roll with it. We frequent the dunes and you'd be surprised at all of the stock tires out there tearing up the dunes. If you find you love the dunes, purchase a set of rear paddle tires mounted to wheels so you have just a couple lug nuts, a couple minutes and you are in Business! Sxs owners should stay with the same size tire.but if you go bigger I would go no bigger then two sizes bigger black waters are the best. For sand tires ten paddles people go with 14 paddles to much you need some spin

it's better to put stock tire for the dunes because If you want to slide through corners you can with stock tires and dune tires that can make you do a wheelie and then the machine will get hert alot because it brakes the machine and damage everything is that working in the machine unless If something is really important that was what I try to say
