I might be wrong but a lot of the noise is from the engine having to turn 5000 rpm’s to go 10-15 mph. I wish they would put a 2000cc 4 cylinder in the other side by sides (other than the pro r) with the engine designed more for torque instead of all the hp they can squeeze out of it. Would sure help the sound if you could cruise down the trail at 1500-2000 rpm. Seems like the motors would last a lot longer too if it wasn’t have to work so hard to move the machine. Just my two cents

I'm done with Polaris. I am actively selling EVERY Polaris vehicle I own. The endless recalls, stop rides, and overall quality issues are the problem (in addition to ridiculous prices). I bought a new '24 Sportsman 850 last March and two months later they issued a stop ride recall and didn't have a fix til SEPTEMBER. That's absolutely unacceptable, and that was the final straw.

Fuel pump leaking issue? On a MY23 Sportsman XP1000, I was notified on July 7 of a stop ride, and it was just fixed Nov. 11

How many are having qc issues? Just wondering if this is exclusive to expedition owners or ranger xd owners I know people with ranger xd that have had really good luck with almost 3000 miles so far

I bought my 2019 Honda Talon 1000R new in 2020. I got it for $17k new. That’s the only reason I bought it, The price. Since then I have put a HCR Long travel, Krash OffRoad Cage, Full Shock Therapy Spring kit and Alba Racing Crusher Wheels. Next is the CraftWerks 250WHP Build. It’s cool because everything will be custom on My Honda Talon and I will be right at that $25K range. Got the suspension on sale, $2k off. Got the ShockTherapy on sale as well. Just be patient. Yeah I won’t have no 500 HP CanAm or Polaris, but my Talon sure turns some heads. It definitely sticks out with all the mods.

I agree 100% with your take on the sport sxs enclosure. I bought my talon in 19 and full enclosure was top priority! What I failed to foresee was how much heat and dust would linger once that airflow was cut way down… in fact it bothers me to the point it’s hard to even enjoy a days riding in warm dusty conditions.

Polaris and the others are going to need to stop charging "Sand Car" level pricing for their units. Then they will be able to see customers return to the market.

You can get a sxs for around 20k though, I'm sure you're talking about the flagship machines but most people don't NEED those.

For sport side by sides they are ruining their own market. When people rode quads and motorcycles the kids learned to ride and became customers. Now kids are just passengers looking at the back seat while whomever is up front is having fun. Some kids will be lucky enough to have parents that can let them drive or get them their own but that is few and far between.

I bought a 23’ cfmoto G2 950 sport and so far I love it , paid $15K and came with the roof , winch and big WP storage bin . I was looking at getting a second machine and I seen the cfmoto V10 for $19,999 , same machine from Polaris is $36-40+K and cfmoto comes with more on the machine in what would be accessories from Polaris 😏

The facts are pretty simple here, polaris's problem and it's been a problem for a long time, is they don't build very reliable machines. There are people that have really good luck with polaris's, but far too many have numerous problems with them and find them to be extremely unreliable and way too expensive for the quality that we're paying for. If Polaris wants to boost their sales they're going to have to step up in the reliability and durability Department big-time. Machines being unable to make it back to the truck at the end of the day and spending countless weeks and months in the shop is uncalled for and that has to be fixed. On top of that polaris's prices are way too high for what they're building. Their prices are way out of line and are very unreasonable. I mean seriously, $40000 to $50,000 for a side-by-side? Not even the most decked out side by side we have on the market is worth that much money. And snowmobiles at 20 grand?! None of these snowmobiles are worth 20 grand not even close. Quality control and price are Polarises too big problems.

These things are glorified golf carts at this point. I sold my fully enclosed Ranger a couple years ago and went back to an ATV. Out during snow flurries Saturday with a nice factory windshield (fairing) on my Grizzly. Dressed for it and never missed my heated cab once. Haven’t even installed heated grips yet and literally for maybe 10-15 minutes on an all day ride I would have liked to have had them. I’m really glad those enclosed cabs are an option for those who want them. I mean why not if you can afford it and want it. Personally I’ve rode motorcycles for over 50 years and I know what’s required to be comfortable during less than ideal weather. I am literally never wet or cold regardless of the weather. The same on an ATV. I’ve owned 4 off-road Polaris over the years, rode them like I stole them and had great luck with them. It’s thier drive belt system that switched me to Yamaha. CFMoto is nipping at everyone’s heels now. I love it. More competition the better.

Sport Rec utv's are so good these days, and they can be used for everything, and the top of the line rigs, are just too much to actually play with.. I would only feel comfortable using one in the dunes or wide open, which that ain't fun.. All rigs just lose soo much money it aint worth it.. The last one I got was a yxz, it lost about $4-5k in value every year, and thats if they are barely used and kept low mileage.. and so do all of em..

I'm in market for a new cab SxS. But if Polaris wants 50 grand for an Expedition with heat and ac. I want it quiet, I want a 3 year warranty, I want a similar machine like a ford bronco or jeep wrangler rubicon

For 60 k ill buy a jeep instead. I bought a 2019 x3 and it only has 200mi. On it and cost less than 20k. Never would i spend more than that on something i cant drive on the road.

Avg pay across the us is about 60-70k so 50k for one of these is steep. It’s not the point that they make them that expensive it’s the point that they don’t even try to make a price point machine. The least exp 4 seater I could find new was like 17k in my area and I don’t even think it’s new when I looked closely at it….. That’s why I think they lose a lot of customers. I mean talk crap about the cheaper companies but atleast they try

Price are ridicules for a vehicle that cannot be driven everywhere like a Jeep could in comfort and without harassment from police as this sxs vehicles are restricted to certain areas and roads in most states and even those states that allow them impose restriction too regardless of, if the vehicle is equipped for street legal operation. If this SXS could be fully legalized to be driven like any other car truck auto cycle motorcycle I could justify the price but for a toy? No thanks.

Instead of letting dealers gouge customers for an additional six grand on a machine in 2021 and 2022 maybe they wouldn't be down on sales! And when you call Polaris and say you got a dealer that's charging $6,000 over MSRP and Polaris is answer is"car dealers need to make a living"! I don't disagree with that but I think there's enough meat on the bone if you're selling them at full retail that you don't need to add six grand to it just my thought

I am personally looking at the 2025 Yamaha YXZ 1000 R or YXZ 1000 R SS. 6 speed sequential gearbox transmission, your choice of foot clutch or dual clutch paddle shifter model for $21,000. Side note, the dual clutch paddle shifter model has two automatic modes, so anyone can drive it. Think rally car style driving. Manual transmission for more fun right? Typing while I am listening, these guys are talking about the keeping up with the jones’ 4 seaters. Can buy two Yamahas and a Polaris 200 for the kids for $50K. LOL If you don’t mind a belt the Kawasaki Teryx 1000 KRX is over built and really good handling. Carson Wernimont beats half the turbo field in the NA Kawasaki. Of course he can drive and will have suspension 2nd to none but a stock Teryx 1000 is $20K. Seeing some 24’s for $18K.

I couldn’t disagree more on the topic of the target rzr for hvac. People who pay the money for a pro r already have the expendable income and can afford another 10k for hvac. Someone buying regular xp NA is balling on a budget. If you look at the ranger and xpedition the hvac trim is roughly 10k more msrp.
