Anybody who has ridden numerous modern ATVs knows how good the can am machines are. While the machines get a bad rap for reliability, In my experience people beat on these things like rented mules, making little to no effort to take care for them. My Renegade 1000 xxc has 8800 miles, ive had zero issues other than regular maintenance items that are all listed in the manual. Ride quality and performance, there is no better machine available.

Agreed, we race GNCC and other off road events and without doubt they hold up better than anything else under the most grueling conditions. 4 years racing on a Renegade with no issues other than crash related still amazes me. I’m not brand loyal I just want to win and the only choice in Can Am, problem is the whole starting line is Can Am so you really don’t have an advantage.

If it has the same frame, and motor mounts as the 500 and 700 with a heavier engine, then you’re probably going to have motor mounts breaking. If this has the P-Drive CVT you’re going to have bearing issues around 500-1000 miles, that will need replaced.

@TiffanyBottomsHunterАй бұрын
@@AlfyPotsdam-wh9vs If you watched his video, then you will hear him mention other people are having the same issue. Whether those other people are running larger tires or not is one thing, but I’m pretty sure that people who buy the XMR’s are going to be riding them pretty rough seeing they are supposed to be mud machines. The engine mounts breaking isn’t directly related to the size of tires he has, that would be things like the axles, differentials, steering components, etc not the engine mounts. I have never heard in 30yrs of riding a Honda having engine mounts breaking, or any other Japanese manufacturer of ATVS for that matter. Can Am has earned the nickname “ Crap Am “ by many riders due to their quality, or lack there of. They have numerous issues , and it has been shown through the years. The old Bombardier Traxter, and Quest ATVS or the John Deere Buck ATV were built much better, but Can Am isn’t the same machine. If you want to go and spend all the money on a Can Am and learn the hard way, that is up to you. It’s hard to beat experience though. I know the working man doesn’t want to overpay for a machine that is likely only going to give him a few years of riding regularly with some issues. If you just want a machine to ride on a few weekends in the summer then maybe, but I wouldn’t buy one personally. That’s up to you. Polaris and Can Am both tend to have a lot of issues, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a new machine, it’s their manufacturing process. I believe Can Am asks way too much for their machines, even if I could buy a brand new 2025 Can Am Outlander XTP for the same as a Honda, I would buy Honda no question about it.
@AlfyPotsdam-wh9vsАй бұрын
@@TiffanyBottomsHunter lol..oh because one guy on the internet said, "lots of people have issues", it's fact huh? Yet, no one else is talking about it. A quick check of Can-Am forums and not a single post about motor mounts going bad. So where is this "big issue" if the owners don't even know about it? If it existed, they'd be bitching about it on the forums. I had electrical issues on my Foreman but I know it's not widespread. Why do you say this?
@TiffanyBottomsHunterАй бұрын
@@soundnessofmind7196 These new Outlanders the 500/700 have had a number of quality control issues, from loose bolts hanging off of the transmission housing, loose hoses, and clamps from the CVT connected to the snorkel ( all hoses should be inspected )to the wrong hose entirely on the machine ( the regular snorkel hose on the XMR model, as supposed to the XMR model snorkel for example ) Electronic, or ECU issues of the machine not wanting to switch from one mode to the next. Side panels breaking off rather easily, engine motor mounts breaking ( Yes the mounts that are supposed to secure the engine to the frame ) Other things to consider are the thin metal used in the frame ( Not the Bumper ). These have so far been found to relate to quality control, but Can Am has a history of having issues. Quality control issues , and build quality should be considered separate. As the quality control is a manufacturing, and assembly issue at the factory itself, well as build quality is part of the engineering aspect, but can also be a result of the manufacturing process ( welding for example ).
