I don't know why but as an Italian girl I've always imagined Finnish as a harsh language, but I found it very smooth and gentle. Loved that! I'm going to learn Finnish instead of studying for my exams! Blind Channel, I'll blame you if I can't get my fucking degree! Cheers from Italy!

honestly finnish is an ugly and fairly harsh language when compared to other "beautiful" languages

You would be surprised of just how similarly we play with sounds and syllables in Finnish (similar to Italian). I speak both Italian and Finnish and IMHO they are both beautiful, smooth and versatile languages for rhyming and expressing emotions. They both have a strong sense of staccato if you ever need it in your song or speech. Alternatively, you can speak Finnish as if it was a some kind of a soft Elven language from the Lord of the Rings.
