Reality is finnish ballads are extremely underrated, they had solid ballads even in the last few years of UMK (Kelle mä Soitan and Sun Numero were wonderful songs, for example). They are a rock/metal country but they are not good just in rock/metal.

Every country is doing the mistake of favouring that kind of song just because they expect a Käärja effect. Finland will not do that mistake in my opinion, because they know searching another Käärja will doom their possibilities, exactly like it was for Cyprus in searching a new Foureira, for example.

The song is really, really, really good and would be good choice for ESC. The issue (regarding being succesful in ESC) is that there usually is more than one these type of songs so it really depends what others send (doesn't it always, haha) and can it stand out from other similar songs. Either way, this is a hit already

In a year that is likely to have songs which would try to replicate the success of Käärija and Loreen, this is a song that may stand out imo, given it is staged really well. A song as soulful as this needs very good staging to do very well. All the best!

I was sceptical at first having only seen the title and not knowing anything about the artist, but wow what a gem this song revealed to be! A catchy melody that hooks you right away with straightforward lyrics that most anyone can relate to powerfully delivered by Sara's great voice. It really stands out among the often mediocre sillyness that tends to dominate in the Eurovison Song Contest. Fingers crossed that people realize the winning potential of this song and vote for it to represent Finland. Whatever happens, thank you Sara for bringing back the music. ❤

This isn’t my usual style but it’s absolutely beautiful- it’s the clear favourite and while it’s not my personal winner, I’d still absolutely love if Finland sent this. I love hearing songs in the Finnish language, and this is just beautiful. I think Finland is one of the most exciting countries in ESC, and they have such a beautiful language- they should send more songs that show it off.
