The final part of lesson 2 takes a look at the conservation of energy as applied to fluids flows: sometimes known as Bernoulli's equation. The kinetic energy terms within Bernoulli are scrutinised very carefully as they depend on the velocity profile of the fluid which, in turn, depends on both the flow regime and the fluid rheology. Two worked examples are then given to illustrate its application to both Newtonian and power law flows.
