I found the video on Twitter. Yes, the girl says stupid things but she's in a private home and obviously drunk or stoned. The reactions on Twitter against her are far more personal and threatening than anything she said. Her life is basically ruined over a stupid remark made in private.

She said it while she was drunk or high; that makes me wonder if that's how she really feels about race, she just doesn't say it because she knows she can't. But when she's high or drunk, that barrier is gone and she's able to make it clear how she really feels.

I've lived here for 26 years, many of them in North Milwaukee( 80th and Fond Du Lac) and I have only seen black hate on white in that neighborhood for years. I came here from Augusta, GA, and it was 10x worse on both sides there! Some of my best friends in this life have been black men. One was my roommate for 2 years, and he was a great cook, a hard worker, and a genuinely good person. I've seen hardcore racism, and this young lady is not that. She's obviously just a moron that made a stupid mistake, but she doesn't deserve to have her life ruined at such a young age for being ignorant. As observers we don't know anything about her or her situation. Certainly the people who want to crucify her don't know anything about her, and by the looks of it, they don't even care about reasons. They just want their time in the media or on camera. I know tolerance is in short supply nowadays, but honestly these protesting students need to learn how to pick their battles a bit more wisely because THAT'S how you effect change in the system. This one is not a very good choice. It's silly and moot and won't amount to anything. Do they honestly believe that the University will change their minds and expel her? Then what? She'll sue the University for 1st amendment violation, probably win, and then the University will have to raise ALL tuitions to pay for damages which means even fewer minority groups will be able to afford an education there! DUH
