The campus of uwc csc is absolutely amazing! We are still quite new to the school and this video shows only a small part of the campus , there is so much more we could not even show. The first month at this school has been absolutely amazing and we are so thankful that we are able to be here, please do come visit the school if you ever get the chance to do so!!

Hello! Out of all the UWC campuses I have seen online, this is one of my favorites. I would love the opportunity to attend this school but my parents are worried about how political differences between China and my home country would affect life in UWC. So I wanted to hear from UWC students. How does the political environment in China affect your life and your learning?

Hmm, that is a tricky question for sure. On the one hand you have to remember that UWC CSC is absolutely an international bubble, there is a lot of space to talk about whatever political issues you want with your peers and teachers. Simultaneously, we are still guests in China and there are certain limitations, especially in settings with a lot of people such as major assemblies. In my experience, Chinese people and the Chinese government / the political idea of China are two ENTIRELY seperate worlds. Chinese people in general are incredibly welcoming, they love to learn about people from all backgrounds and cultures and are just generally a very wonderful crowd. Therefore the people aren't necessarily the issue, but I can't deny that there are certain limitations in the grander scheme of things. We had students from truly every corner of the world, we also had students from places such as Tibet and Taiwan.

Buddy, no worries. The school offers vpn service so the online life here is no different from that in the free world. The campus is truly wonderful, and life here in csc is dynamic and exciting. Staying in campus makes the outside environment dissociated with you, and you'll not feel anything unpleasant as long as you stay inside the school. Best wishes.

Hoi! Ik kom uit Amsterdam en ga me dit jaar aanmelden voor UWC. Ik had alleen een paar vraagjes: 1. Zou je misschien je motivatie essay/filmpje willen delen? (maakt niet uit als je t niet wil) 2. Hoe was het aanmeldingsproces? (wanneer kreeg je de uitslagen van de eerste ronde enz) 3. Wat was je gemiddelde (cijfer) en wat deed je buiten school? (wat denk je dat je geholpen heeft toegelaten te worden) ik heb namelijk echt geen idee naar wat voor een soort mensen uwc zoekt (behalve natuurlijk dat ze uwc’s ‘values’ enzo moeten waarderen) 4. Was deze uwc in china je eerste keuze? En waarom had je die keuze gemaakt? Groetjes en veel plezier!

Hi yes! Absolutely :) we’re allowed off campus until 9:30pm and can go to shops/malls etc, there even is a little convenience shop on campus that sells anything you would need really

Hoi, ik heb een vraagje.. Wat waren ongeveer jouw cijfers voordat je je aanmeldde voor UWC? (Zegmaar zevens, achten, of echt alleen maar negens?) Ik ben namelijk echt geïnteresseerd, maar ben bang dat m'n cijfers niet goed genoeg zijn..:( Het zijn vooral zevens, maar heb gehoord dat dat vaak echt niet hoog genoeg is, ook al heb je veel bijzonderheden/ activiteiten. Een hele leuke video trouwens :)

hoii! voor uwc Nederland moest ik mijn gemiddelde cijfer van alle vakken sturen van het jaar voordat ik me aanmeldde en van het herfst rapport voor het jaar dat ik me aanmeldde. Volgens mij had ik voor mijn eindrapport van de 4e rond de 7.1 en voor mijn herfstrapport van de 5e een 7.6. Ik moet zeggen though, zolang je boven de 7 zit met je gemiddelde van alles kijken ze er in principe niet echt meer naar, het is meer gewoon checken of je die minimum hebt. Succes met aanmeldennn!!

It's a college (high school in the British system) so you pass your International Baccalaureate there. It's a pre-universitary program for people between 15-21
