Does the school teach German classes for non- speakers ?

you can take german ab initio (for beginners) as one of your IB subjects to learn it as part of your academic curriculum + be graded for it, or you could take german conversational classes which are offered after/outside of classes!!

Luna Rose Hey, congratulations! Honestly, I didn’t prepare for the IB before arriving. Although it might be helpful to have some background knowledge to ease your adjustment, in general, the subjects start from scratch such that everyone can get on the same learning pace regardless. One thing I did do was check what IB subjects and subject levels the school offered on their website in order to have some idea of what I would be interested in taking. However, once you get here, there are multiple means to help you decide what to take (subject fair, personal tutor, academic advisor, second years) as well as academic support (if needed) for once you start your classes. In short: don’t stress it yet! If I were you, I would focus on making the most of my time left at home because there’s lots of time for IB once you get here. Hope this helps!

This specific campus is Robert Bosch College, but the school falls under a program (with 16 other campuses) called United World College! It is amazing :D

Ellen Collins find out if your country has a national community. U even have the ability to get a scholarship. I think the time to apply is now(at least in my country in Belarus 🇧🇾 it is). I am also applying this year:) Just ask google for the help I think. The movement calls UWC:)

Ellen Collins I am sure. There is one in Australia. I watched some vloges of Australian people who study there:) By the way, there are more than 155 countries around the world which have them. Even my pretty small has:) good luck!🍀

Ellen Collins That is OK. People from different countries go to places where UWC is. And you don’t have to have one to apply. I think, you have to be between 16 and 17, but some UWC schools accepte people who are a bit older as well. I think you have to contact the national committee of Australia to make sure that it’s this way in your country as well. :)
