Designing your sheep and goat grazing system

Gene Schriefer, Division of Extension UW-Madison, and Adam Abel, Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Soil Conservationist discuss planning for intentional grazing of sheep and goats. Schriefer will outline the basics of creating grazing paddocks using the Web Soil Survey, animal nutritional needs, and seasonal growth of forages. Abel will introduce the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) program and its benefits to improving water quality and pasture management.
Schrieffer and Abel will show examples of grazing systems allowing producers to their knowledge of grazing systems and the EQIP program.
