I was nocked out of you tube for tow weeks. I gess that a chines Steve Chen, one of tow you tube menagers, didn't like my comments about china and chines people. Mr Chen...I still have same opinion. You can not change it nocking me off your you tube. It will be changed only if chines change themselves....communist governmant and give enedependence to East Turkestan and Tibet.

Why overseas Chinese who are educated, exposed, intelligent and world-wise overwhelmingly support the ccp govt. on this particular issue is complex, but at the same time simple, in one word self-interest. Fair play and fairness takes a back seat unfortunately and might is right is what justifies any given act. Overseas Chinese are one of the architects, partners of ccp and one of the prime beneficiaries of the rise of China. Loosing 1/2 the land of China and drastically reduced map is anathema.

Uyghur brothers and sisters, these are no time to sit around, Dalai Lama is leading Tibetans world wide to protest rights violations, the Uyghur and the Mongols need to unite with Tibetans and join this protest, no one will give you your rights unless you fight for it, but please fight with words without resorting to violence, keep discipline and please do not give the excuse and opportunity to the repressive forces to crack down, keep the protests peaceful, just like the Tibetans are doing.

Abduqadir Yareli is very good, I love his songs, but to my mind this particular song is performed better by Gulbahar Rehim, her video is available here on youtube. And the most traditional version is by Hoshur Qari I think, which is very expressive and delivers the sad mood of the song.

the exact number of Uyghurs is not known, as Majority govt. always try to minimize minority numbers in every country. Some say that there are close to 15-20 million Uyghurs in East Turkestan, the govt. figure is close to 10 million.
