Since when Xiumin is a fluent chinese speaker? No matter how many chinese interview of EXO or EXO-M I watch he always has a translator because he can't understand or speak chinese. Moreover, he may sing well but Baekhyun is on another level, if you want a good singer who speaks chinese to sing with Luhan and Chen, then I think you better take Lay who is about the same level as Xiumin when it comes to singing abilities.

Lay isn't a lead vocal though. And Out of the two Koreans in M, Minseok has better Mandarin skills. And the reason that they have translators is for affirmation. Both Chen and Minseok can understand pretty much all of what the people are saying, but for positivity, translators are always present. The same usually goes for Lay and Tao. Milky Way

Well I agree they could let Minseok sing more in general but here are only main vocal, it would be totally unlogical to make him sing here. I don't think they are fluent at all, they'd speak chinese much more if they were, Lay and Tao always speak korean for korean activities, Minseok and Jongdae, only introduce themselves(and sing of course) in chinese, the chinese level of korean members is not even comparable to korean level of chinese members

Well, one reason is that they're singing, and since Chinese kind of already has it's own melody, you know, with the _ / \/ and the \ (sorry, I had to find some things on the english keyboard that resembled them), and you have to adapt the words to the melody of the song, the melody is off, and that's why some of the pronunciation is off, even Luhan's.
