The Uzbekistan should have been competing in cycling, always on his bike (mexican term for fighters who run about) Verde was attacking the whole fight. This is what the Mexican coaching staff and Verde were smiling about. What a s%it show, just three wounds? As always the olympic scoring sucks. In pro boxing the score should have been the first two rounds 9 and the last round 10-9 in favor of the mexican. I caan only laugh with Verde! Even the announcers sucked. I turned off the volume and watched it without listening to them

Uzbekistan has one of the strongest schools of boxing inherited from the Soviets. Uzbek showed classic defensive soviet style boxing with a lot of pendulum footwork on a long distance where direct bows are combinative and manipulative to avoid open exchanges, which is fraught with unnecessary missed punches, since boxing in Uzbekistan like taught in the Soviet Union has always been a science of defense, where the main principle is "not to miss". Yes, your boxer was more aggressive and active with punches but not so efficient. Boxing requires you to outsmart first of all, not outpunch. "Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee"

The Uzbek fighter counter punched, landed some but not all the time either. Boxing is about exchanging punches not running. It is not a running contest. But that is amateur boxing. The light heavy weight fight was boxing, this was an exercise of keeping out of harm's way for three rounds, on one's toes...

Узбек как раз-таки показал советский стиль ведения боя. То, что ты называешь "кузнечиком бегал" это работа ног маятником на дальней дистанции, которая также называется "советский дрилл", "советский стиль" или "стиль Бивола", называй как хочешь. Спортсмен обязан избегать открытых разменов и силовые удары достигаются манипуляциями и комбинациями. Мексиканец бился по-американски, где ставки поставлены именно на силовые бокс на ближней и средней дистанции. Хуки,апперкоты, боковые удары и все что касается прямой рубки это про них. То есть тупо "нападать". В боксе у нас учат "не пропустить", это ещё из советской школы, а она учит науке защиты в первую очередь, а не нападению, что и продемонстрировал узбек. На мой взгляд победа честная, а вы можете дальше биться в конвульсиях сколько угодно.
