From the comments I've learned that the song was a hit, sung by one of the female judges. Let's all take a second to appreciate the fact that there is ONE country in the world in which a kid in a yarmulka can sing a song on national tv about G-d helping him, and win. And even for those who are strict (including myself) about hearing women sing, there is something amazing about the fact that (some) female singers in Israel have hits that are about asking Hashem for help. Wow! I’ve never heard this guy before, even though that’s a well known music competition here in Israel (Music School)… I did some checking, and apparently this kid (13 yr) did win this competition, and now he’s 21 and serving the country. BTW, this is one of the most famous and emotional songs ever written in Hebrew and has an interesting story behind it, and it was originally sung by Sarit Hadad, one of the judges on this show.
