So much to learn, alas so little time. This was excellent viewing and has given me an appetite to try and recite the intervals as I play the chords.

Guitar sounds beautiful with compression and reverb. Also a lot of this sounds like the Barry Harris 6th method and drop voicings.

You have made the best guitar/jazz/music theory instructional that I have been wishing someone would do., (or EVER would be the way you should take this compliment)...I usually have to transfer piano over to guitar to get what I need musically. Excellent work man...🎸

Wonderful informative video . I speculate that the V-2 chords on EADG aren't used often mainly because the lower register of notes might be muddled in a band setting with other instruments like bass, keys, etc :).

Liking your content a lot. May I suggest playing the relevant scales too (as you are sometimes doing) ? Like your delivery as well. I'll be back.

Curious but also angry about finding this channel. Last time I tried a chord cook book was the Al Di Meola one a few years back and I pumped so many infuriating hours into that one that I said never again. Can kinda see the logic and reasoning behind the method in this one though. Will remain uncommitted and sulk in the background while judging silently until I discover a 'gottcha' moment. Thanks

@JakobPek i guess Ted thought of them like that because he was more of a solo than a group player. If you play with a bassist you don't care so much about the bottom note but you'll think top down from the melody note

What a load of hooey. These are just normal voicings and inversions that every competent player knows. Inventing some new terminology like "V1 or V2" doesn't help explain anything. Just learn to read music on piano and apply it to guitar. Then all this stuff becomes obvious without some droll doofus droning on about nothing.
