I bought these EPs as each one was issued. Missed out on getting the whole box. Still have the first one in my singles box when I go out and DJ. Dave Gibson had an amazing collection and was a real swell guy to boot.

This style is definitely some of my favorite. It seems like in the mid 60s when this stuff started rock was taking this dark and aggressive theme but then suddenly the hippie scene entered into rock and for the late 60s it was for the most part a whole different theme (bands like Blue Cheer and Supa Chief not included) then the early 70s it becomes aggressive and dark again like it was originally doing with this stuff played on this album.

@@georgefromgreece4119 The early psych emanated from garage , punk ie: Seeds , Human Expression , 13th Floor Elevators , The Eyes , Dagenites , Minus , JuJus , etc are all the proto psych via garage punk who were the pioneers in the fringe type instrumental inflections , and should of been @ "Monterey POP Festival "!

Cool! Das"Gefühl, das man in dieser Zeit damals hatte, als man den ersten Versuchen, den wie Pilze aus dem Boden schließenden, neuen Bands zuhörte, ist wieder voll da!! A lot of these bands try to emulate and sound like the bigger famous bands some are okay and others not so but at least they tried and as I always say this sound of music is thousand times more better than the stuff they call music these days and I just don't listen to the current music unless it sounds good and so far I haven't heard anything close to sounding good.
