I have to say, comparing the 3 on my 4K TV, I'd have to go with the V-Coptr for clarity and colour. Zero Zero, you need a One in front of your name... 100%.

Looked pretty windy, but the V-Copter held its own! I actually liked the blue sky of the V-Copter better than the DJI drones. It looked more natural to me.

I set the digital zoom in my mini 2 so I can use it with the gimbal-wheel + Fn button. Very handy to frame a shot or just have a look at something without moving the drone (to close). You can also use it for dolly zooms. Very neet.

Nice! And just so you know the MINI 2 actually has a ZOOM when you hold down the ‘Fn’ button and scroll the wheel on the top of the controller.

not a massive fan of the design, but it has some promise, and it seems compact. Though the main advantage of the design isn't super clear. It needs 4 motors anyway, 2 for thrust, and 2 servos to tilt the motors. How does this compare to the mini weight-wise and size-wise when packed?

At least as it looked here youtube, I liked the V-Copter footage the best, but I'd bet the Phantom bigger sensor & better stability makes it a race between the mini 2 & V-Copter. The V-Copter does look the most fun to fly though :)

Welcome! You won't need an antenna booster you can do that if you want to, but according to the FAA you must maintain VLOS with your drone. Happy flying!

Th P4 crushes the Mini 2 in all ways except portability, but at a huge huge cost difference. For the average hobby flier who want to shoot some cool video and photos, the Mini 2 is pretty tough to beat. The V-copter is cool enough that I would buy one just for the cool factor if I had a few grand kicking around gathering dust. Over al I say Mini 2 for the win.
