Kanade, I have such respect for your discipline and talent. Your years of hard work is evident. I think I've seen all of your videos at least twice. I never considered you a child prodigy because your videos show your development and maturity as a musician. You have simply worked at it. I love to see girls of all ages excel at something usually dominated by men, and you are a true role model. Having said that, I don't admire you because you're a girl, but because of who you are. I'm a lifelong musician. I'm not a drummer, but I have heroes represented on all instruments, and you are one of them, right alongside Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl. I appreciate your commitment to the music as much as your skills. You are one of the most seasoned, learned and dynamic drummers I have ever heard. You play things that are indescribably wonderful to me. I look forward to seeing you in the future on the world stage. I know I'm gushing profusely, but I mean every word. You bring me joy.

There is a term in Japanese swordsmanship known as tenouchi, translates to "the inside of the hand". It covers how a sword is held/gripped, how tightening of the grip is applied at the moment of impact and instantly released making the strike sharp and precise. It also includes the flexibility in the wrists. In the book Musashi, taiko drummers are analyzed for this same quality leading to the theories in the foundation of the two sword style. I see this in all of Kanade's videos and it's wonderful to watch. I recommend Kanade's videos to all kendoka I practice with.

Tenouchi. Thank you. That makes perfect sense. I feel much better now. There is so much valuable knowledge that can be acquired. Kanade is truly amazing
Me encanta verte tocar, esa precisión, limpieza y gusto a la hora de interpretar son geniales Kanade, esta claro que eres una de las mejores baterías si no la mejor. Un saludo y cuídate mucho.

So graceful, and precise stick placement. When I watch you play I learn useful things to think about applying to my playing. A lot of good drummers in time experience injuries from the shock waves extending from the sticks all the way through their arms There was a famous Drum instructor from New York named Moller I think, that developed what is known as the Moller technique. I think I inadvertently started using a similar technique without the valuable training. I'm not an expert but but it appears that your controlling and directing the bounce of your sticks with your wrists? Instead of your fingers. I would really hate to think of you suffering in pain from contributing your precious magical gifts of enlightened rythmatic performances

She does a little forward slide on the kick when she play doubles, I wonder if that's why she wears the socks.
