To me it feels like he’s saying when you’re alone it seems like everyone else is in love but when you’re in love you don’t notice everyone else. Ultimately he ended up the same way both times and I guess you have to learn to love yourself either way. I love Tae’s sense of humour and the song is great. I’m so pleased that although the guys are all away at the moment, it kinda feels like they’re still here with the amazing content they have prepared for us. We are so lucky to have them💜 Thank you for your reaction Bryan 😊

My theory is that V is trying to show the position that Kpop idols are put in. Everyone is free to be happy in love but kpop idols, the minute they is a dating rumour, everyone is fighting each other.

@@quatzxice interesting, personally my Theory is that Life is choices even if he’s destined for the same fate at the end. Death represents the end of the friendship but it can also represents his fate at the end. In the first dream he wakes up alone because he hasn’t confessed to his friend so he feels salty and focuses only on his surroundings he longs for love, and because he’s too focused on his surroundings he doesn’t see the car and gets hit and ends up dying, then he dreams that he confessed to his friend and they are in a relationship but he’s too focused on the person rn he is not focused on himself nor his surroundings so he gets hit by the car again but this time he was happy, it was a short lived happiness, in both situations he is not focusing on himself but when he wakes up the 3rd time he’s with himself which means he needs to focus on himself first in order to be happy whether single or in a relationship, that way the happiness will last longer but he will still die at the end because death is inevitable, life is choices but our fate will always be the same, and I think that’s what he was thinking about, stop daydreaming about the choices but instead do it the right way, focus on yourself in either situations because your destiny is still the same

I had the same thought. I'm not sure it's the primary message of the video, but it is interesting that whether he's alone or in love, he can't win either way. Not to go too dark on this, but him dying? Kpop idols have had careers "killed" or sadly harmed themselves when a relationship was exposed. And it's unfortunate and wrong that fans put idols in that weird position. Again, I don't know if that's the real message here, but it sure did make me think about it. Leave it to a Mad Genius like Teahyung to give us something with so many possible interpretations.

I found the mv to be a comment on fate. We have choices to make, but our fate is the same. Loving yourself is key. Love another Tae homerun! We are so spoiled.

Btw..can we talk about how Taehyung never fails to give us something fresh & different from what any of us thought about ?? The contrast between when he was single & when he had a partner was shown so beautifully 🤌 Also...the concept of how everyone was basically making out & being so disgustingly in love around him when he was single & when he had a partner , the same ppl are seen arguing and fighting around him....was such a brilliant thought 👏 And am still not so sure about the ending 🥹 Does it convey....LOVE YOURSELF OR SOMETHING ELSE ? Whatever it is...Taehyung have given us another masterpiece...with a brilliant concept , great visuals & THE TOP NOTCH VOCALS🔥😊

Hello, Bryan! Thanks for this. I really appreciate your points of view in each reactions. My interpretation of this MV: What should matter in life is that you love yourself and value every moment of your existence, appreciate what and who you have, because in the end, we all have a written destiny: death.

V’s dry humour is totally depicted to the max in this mv, he did say it’s a witty song about the and of friendship and the beginning of something else. This mv really has the sense of humour V has, dry, sarcastic with dark undertones and the smirk at the end is so Tae, his ‘gotchya’ face. Lol. Loved it. But for me the best takeaway was the song, the vocal gymnastics and the sound choir at the end. I can’t wait to see this performed live especially with the soul choir that backed him in the song. It will be such a great live. He is showing us 3 scenarios of relationships/friendships from his point of view. The crowds around him are exaggerated expressions of conveying the messages. First being when you’re single you notice all the couple around you and makes you feel even more alone. The second is where you are in a relationship and are so focused on said relationship that you don’t see what’s going on around you (the fighting in my opinion is heavily exaggerated in order to show this concept in a 4 min mv). The final scene is the two first versions of Tae from the other concepts together to say yep, back to reality you only have yourself and you should be good to be on your own as well. It’s also conveying, fate cannot be avoided and no matter which path is taken, your destiny is pre determined ( this final point might be an over reach). I really think Tae is trolling us with two death scenes as we keep complaining that he always dies in all his storylines. Lol

Hey Brian, thanks for the reaction. I consider this song and MV a little b-day present as this past weekend was my b-day. I've hit the big 60, LOL!! Anyway, love the song and the MV. Both are so Tae!! I especially loved his smile/smirk at the end. The song actually had me thinking about my hubby. We've known each other since 8th grade, but didn't date each other. I moved away for 10 years then came back. He recognized me in a crowded club after 11 years!! The rest is history, we found out we each had crushes on each other but were such good friends we didn't want to "rock the boat" so to speak. We now have been married for 33 years this year. He's still my best friend! I think the MV depicts what a lot of folks go through who have friends that they want to "end" the friendship with to take it to another level. And it is true, when you are alone, you do tend to notice the couples and their happiness. The same is true when you have a significant other, you are so focused on the other person or relationship, you tend to NOT notice what is going on around you. In either instance, you "die". The end of the MV with the two Tae's just simply means that either way, you need to love yourself before you can love someone else. Again, thanks for the great reaction!!
