(Vāgbhava Koot) is a term from Śrī Vidyā, a highly revered and intricate tradition in Hindu Tantra. It refers to the first segment of the Pañcadaśī Mantra (15-syllable mantra), a central mantra in the Śrī Vidyā tradition dedicated to Goddess Lalitā Tripurasundarī.
The Pañcadaśī Mantra is divided into three parts or kūṭas (clusters):
1. वाग्भव कूट (Vāgbhava Koot): The first section (symbolizing the face of the Goddess) is associated with knowledge, speech (vāg), and wisdom.
2. कामराज कूट (Kāmarāja Koot): The middle section (symbolizing the torso) is associated with desire and creation.
3. शक्ति कूट (Śakti Koot): The final section (symbolizing the feet) represents power and energy.
The वाग्भव कूट is primarily linked to Saraswati-like qualities such as eloquence, creativity, and intellectual illumination. It is often meditated upon for mastery of speech, learning, and wisdom.
