Open airvent means only the pipe given till the height of overhead water tank, its provided at the outlet. Top end of airvent pipe a tee is provided. This airvent helps to release the air bubbles/water vapour generated during heating and also helps water to flow out easily. If it's not given there is chance of solar tank collapsing. Our HEL Solar water heater is leaking at the 2 blackglass tubes due to worn out or damaged silicon ring washer&informed the Technician also but came& came late but not yet rectified the leaking washers of our Solar Water Heater&got desperated in keeping it as a dead investment!!No leakages at the bottom of the Steel outer druim as wrongly remarked!!!Informed Higher authorities the real facts &waiting for their further action with some other Technician!!!
