Dielectric grease in the plow electric connections after every storm.
@CarsonSchifsky7 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for adding that! I totally forgot, we don't usually do it every storm but we do keep an eye on it and just use our best judgment!
@andrewstratton70957 жыл бұрын
I just do it every storm just because of all the salt and water that splashes onto the connectors
@CarsonSchifsky7 жыл бұрын
Probably not a bad idea, grease is cheaper then new wiring harness parts!

Dielectric grease every storm? Nah..

Dielectric grease in the electric plugin once a year when I put in storage. All it takes in Montana because no salt is used. Plus the O-Rings on the SnowDogg are more then enough to prevent leakage.

Great video, nice to see people who want to take care of equipment, I put old fire hose over my hydraulic hoses to protect them from wear and sunlight. I also put a tarp over the plow in the summer during storage to keep it from UV damage.

In the spring I wash and clean the plow and paint the cutting edge. Then fluid film the entire plow.
@rogerthat6221 Жыл бұрын
There’s a product called fluid film that will shock you at the anti-corrosive properties that it carries.

heat will eliminate moister as rust is caused from corrosive chemicals and the delusion with water will slow rust down on raw metal. Adding silicone or lithium grease once product is dry will keep rust down. Basic science is acid are corrosive and oils are base alkaline. Water is neutral as long as the PH neutral. Your tips helpful and product endorsement spot on. Legacy

How do you adjust the center plow shoe? It is sorta enclosed… not easily accessible like the sides are.

Be careful with high pressure washers on the undercarriage of the trucks use low pressure. Reason rust will start your undercarriage really fast. Looks like the Boss frame sits low. Fisher & Meyer truck frames sits a lot higher. Check out fisher stainless steel v plows. You have a great channel. Peace
