Most of the people I met from central Asia generally had bad opinions of the USSR, mostly on account of bad/Russian nationalistic ethnic policies during Stalin's time, but then again most of them were pro-capitalist nationalists (and even one libertarian), so I'd be curious what a more pro-Soviet Kazakh person thinks.
